Musings on the Week

Elites – The only genuine elite is the elite of those men and women who gave their lives to justice and charity.” Sargent Shriver.

Politics – There are six months before the next major election, so don’t make the same mistake as last time and stay home, because a vote wasted is a vote for more bad ideas.

Politics – The media narrative is that President Obama is very smart, but there is no proof since the only thing he does well is read teleprompter speeches, more of an “empty suit.”

Politics – Mark Meckler, when with Tea Party Patriots, warned that it might take 40 years of hard work to repair the damage that liberals have done to our nation in the last 100 years.

Politics – Proof that liberal elites drive the Democrat party is that seven of the ten richest counties in the country voted for Barack Obama in 2012, many by huge margins.

Politics – Proof that liberal elites drive the Democrat party is that Democrats represent eight of the ten richest Congressional districts in the country in 2012.

Politics – Obama’s Keystone pipeline delay puts the political needs of his union workers who used to be Democrats ahead of the needs of the county for economic growth and jobs.

Politics – Hillary Clinton embodies the corrupt culture of Washington where nepotism and cronyism are rampant with her first hand experience with personal and political corruption.

Politics – Elizabeth Warren has spent a good deal of her time in the corrupt intersection between leftist non-profits, corporate boards and politically connected legal positions.

Politics - This week’s distractions from the stagnant economy and ObamaCare: overdone racial outrage in the NBA and Kerry backpedaling on his Israel apartheid remarks.

Elites – Propaganda invariably serves the long-term interests of some elite.John Berger.

Economy – The only thing Obama's economic policies have produced with any consistency over the past five years is disappointment, with a meager 0.1% gain in the first quarter.

Economy – The World Bank predicts China will surpass the U.S. as the world’s top economic superpower in 2014, as a result of Obama’s “Fundamental Transformation of America.”

Jobs – There are a record 92,594,000 Americans not in the labor force, with 806,000 dropping out last month producing a labor force participation rate of 62.8%, lowest since the 1970s.

Labor – According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 20% of American families in 2013, not one member of the families worked, either unemployed or not in the labor force.

Income – Americans at all income levels are better off than their parents were with two-thirds of 40-year-old Americans are in households with larger incomes than their parents earned.

Income – When incomes are adjusted for household size, four out of five American adults today are better off than their parents were at the same age.

Income – Half of taxpayers moved to a different income quintile between 1996 and 2005, roughly the same as in previous periods, including half in the bottom quintile moving up.

Social Security – Social Security includes three programs: Old-Age and Survivors Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Supplemental Security Income, spending $914 billion a year.

Healthcare – If you thought healthcare was expensive before ObamaCare, we are now beginning to see how much healthcare costs when it is “free.”

Environment – The climate models predict doom and gloom are the basis for Democrats’ legislative and regulatory push, but can’t accurately predict the past, let alone the future.

Environment – E-cigarettes are the new Public Enemy #1 for anti-tobacco and anti-smoking activists, even though they contain no tobacco and produce no smoke.

Land – Most BLM land was desolate and acquired because nobody wanted it, but now that that land has value why is the federal government leasing it rather than selling it outright?

Elections – A pattern of duplicate voter registrations, measured in thousands, has been found nationwide demonstrating that voter fraud is both massive and systemic.

Drugs – Colorado and Washington are the first states to legalize recreational marijuana, and are the first to see higher drug prices, medical side-effects, and increased crime rates.

Civil Rights – NBA bylaws allow owners to expel one of their members, based on inability to financially run a team, gambling on a team or game fixing, but Sterling did none of these!

Elites – Americans need to educate themselves, from elementary school onward, about what their country has done abroad. And they need to play a more active role in ensuring that what the United States does abroad is not merely in keeping with a foreign policy elite's sense of realpolitik but also with the American public's own sense of American values.Mohsin Hamid.

Foreign Policy – John Kerry’s Israeli “apartheid state” remark is purely a cover-up of his own inability to understand the Palestinian’s refusal to negotiate under ANY conditions.

Defense – The Pentagon signed the 2014 Human Goals Charter, which marks the national defense forces final transformation into a “petri dish for social justice experiments.”

GWOT – The State Department’s latest report on global terrorism shows a 40% increase in terrorism attacks in 2013 with a surge of al-Qaeda affiliates in the Middle East and Africa. Pentagon signed the 2014 Human Goals Charter, which marks the national defense forces final transformation into a “petri dish for social justice experiments.”

Trade – The real reason the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement is that, besides trade, it includes a stealth approach for global environmental governance that few nations support.

Libya – The Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi reports that the ATF funneling guns to al-Qaeda was behind the Consulate attack, thus triggering another Fast and Furious cover-up.

Libya – The Obama administration willfully orchestrated a disinformation campaign with regard to the attacks in Benghazi has now been confirmed by the Ben Rhodes email.

Libya – 66% of voters want Congress to keep investigating the White House handling of Benghazi, including 50% of Democrats, 68% of Independents, and 83% of Republicans.
