Musings on the Week

Freedom – “Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.” Abraham Lincoln.
Politics – Too bad our government change agent, Donald Trump, is not supported by Republican majority change agents in the Congress to finalize the annual budget, the tax reform, and the ObamaCare repeal bills so we can finally restart the economy.
Politics – The biggest mistake that the Trump administration made so far is not to focus on the economy first with tax reform, regulation reform, and immigration control as first priorities.
Politics – The Russia election “witch hunt” has been underway for over a year and still has not found any actual crime committed, much less “high crimes and misdemeanors” as grounds for impeachment, and with no crimes there can be no obstruction of justice.
Politics – If Russia election collusion was truly the focus, the Clinton Foundation donor list offers quantifiable proof of foreign influence in a candidate’s priorities.
Politics – New York City Mayor DeBlasio must have had a political breakdown, traveling to the G20 meeting to join the useful idiots anti-fa anarchists protesting international capitalism.
Politics – The Trump administration has finally brought accountability back to government terminating 548 Department of Veteran’s Affairs employees, and suspended another 200.
Politics – I registered as an Independent almost ten years ago become there were too many self-important RINO elites, like Joe Scarborough, in the Republican Party.
Politics – Leftists are “rebels without a cause” since they have no clear ideological position either left or right but only inadequate and irresponsible attitudes to existing complex causes.
Media – The only thing the Russia election probe has accomplished is a distraction for angry, disgruntled leftists and the mainstream media to regurgitate baseless accusations on non-existent crimes to create volumes of fake news based on recycled lies.
Media – The media appears to be more concerned with their own interests than the interests of the American public, feeding the perception that the D.C. press is a self-interested elite.
Freedom – “If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” George Washington.
Manufacturing – Industrial production in the U.S. has remained constant over the last 25 years, though employing only half the labor, owing to scientific and technology innovation.
Energy – There are 1,600 coal plants planned or are under construction in 62 countries across the globe, which will expand the world’s coal-fired power capacity by 43%.
Energy – After thirty years of beefy government subsidies, wind and solar energy together still meets less than 1% of Earth’s energy output demand.
Healthcare – ObamaCare expanded Medicaid insurance and claimed this as a success, but did not fix low reimbursement rates, thus forcing more people into a shrinking pool of doctors.
Education – The foundation of an American college education was common sense realism, but over time this has been replaced by political indoctrination in an ever-changing array of multi-culturalism and political correctness.
Welfare – One in three American welfare recipients resides in California, with almost a quarter of the state population living below or near the poverty line..
Freedom – “If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.” Dwight D. Eisenhower.
GWOT – Today’s Global War on Terror is a conflict with radical Islam over sharia supremacism and a 14 century-long clash of civilizations, based on conflicting cultures and principles.
GWOT – It is time to pass the Expatriate Terrorists Act to revoke the passports of U.S. citizens who travel overseas to join ISIS so they will be unable to return to U.S. soil.
GWOT – Left-wing liberals and mainstream media have duped America into believing the global refugee crisis is a humanitarian calamity, but it is really an invasion by immigration.
Poland – Poland may be a poster child for extreme vetting, since Poland does not accept refugees and consequently Poland has been devoid of terror attacks spawned by refugees.
