Musings on the Week
Musings on the Week
July 22, 2017
Truth - “Honest conviction is my courage; the
Constitution is my guide.” Andrew
Johnson.
Politics - The Progressive
vision, led by
George Soros and the Bilderberg Group, is to migrate to a “One
World Government” that has basically two
classes: the elite and the destitute.
Politics – Instead of repealing ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, delivering a budget, and slashing the
corporate tax rate in his first week, Trump allowed
Congress to wallow in ObamaCare reform and not
deliver any legislative triumphs in his six months in office.
Culture – Donald Trump is America’s first wartime
President in the Culture War,
exposing politicians and media alike as co-conspirators undermining our
national heritage.
Politics
– The only collusion uncovered so
far is between indignant Democrats and activist
journalists who have teamed to unseat a duly elected American President.
Politics – When the Russia election probe concludes there is no evidence of
any criminal acts, it is time to declare
victory, announce results, and close down the investigation.
Media – ABC News found that Americans feel the Democrat Party doesn’t stand for
anything beyond standing against President Trump, and they are sick and tired
of being fed this crap.
Media – It is sad how many formerly dependable conservative writers have become pedantic
and can no longer support the President, such as: Charles Krauthammer,
Bill Kristol, Stephen Hayes, Jonah Goldberg, Bret
Stephens, Kevin Williamson, and George Will.
Media – President Trump knows how to connect with the
American people
and that is directly via Twitter and
directly in rallies like the one planned
next week in Youngstown, Ohio.
Media – According
to Bloomberg’s polling, the media is giving 75% of its attention to
the Russia investigation and only 6% of Americans think that is the most
important news of the day; 35% of Americans think healthcare is the most
important news and the media is giving that only 4% of its attention; and on
top of that, 10% of the public thinks immigration is the biggest issue and the
media is giving zero coverage to that topic.
Truth – “Repetition does not transform a lie into a truth.” Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Government – Instead of draining the swamp
one creature at a time, empty Washington D.C by decentralizing
the federal government enabling Senators and Representatives to govern from
their own states, and distribute federal agencies across the United States.
Government – California is a
vision of a potential American dystopian future, plagued by illegal immigration, legal drugs,
out-of-control state spending, massive unfunded pension liabilities, crumbling
infrastructure, and a gap between the monied gentry
and their servants.
Regulations – The Trump administration
is off to a
great start, ripping up the playbook in the first six months, eliminating 16 old rules for every new one,
according to the OMB.
Budget – The only
way to balance the budget is to radically reform all the entitlements by
transitioning to privatized programs to avoid massive tax hikes or
painful benefit cuts.
Taxes
– The Border Adjustment Tax is nothing more than a value added tax
(VAT) that has failed in Europe, and will be passed along to the
consumers in higher prices.
Infrastructure
– American
infrastructure can be rebuilt is regulatory
reform that encourages investment and innovation supports privately owned and
privately funded infrastructure.
Healthcare
– People
forget that ObamaCare did not replace anything, but instead super-imposed a
regulatory “wet blanket” on top of healthcare, so there is no need to replace,
Healthcare
– Healthcare is the treatment of a medical condition; health
insurance is how that treatment is paid; paying for existing conditions
is cost sharing; and mandating that everyone have
insurance forces those who can pay must subsidize those that can’t.
Healthcare
– Socialized
medicine is not working in the United States and the insolvency of Medicare and
Medicaid is now obvious, so single payer medicine
scheme makes it worse.
Healthcare
– Republicans
have finally figured out that the first step is to completely
repeal ObamaCare with
a two year transition period to a patient centered health care system.
Immigration
– Trump has reversed
the
Obama administration’s discrimination against Christian refugees, since Christians have faced
genocide for decades and need a refuge.
Environment
– Upon
examination, the Global Average Surface Temperature
data has been corrupted over time by systematic changes made by NOAA, NASA and
Hadley CRU.
Elections
– The Heritage Foundation has compiled 1,071 cases of voter fraud
across the United States
since 2000, with 938 ending in a criminal conviction, another 43 ending in
civil penalties, 74 cases directed to pretrial diversion programs, and 16 ending
in judicial findings.
Elections
– The American Civil Rights Union is now beginning to sue counties to comply with the existing federal law
requiring them to maintain accurate voter rolls.
Education
– Leftist
academics taking over the leadership of college campuses has had an unforeseen consequence of declining enrollments at these
indoctrination mills.
Crime – The “Ferguson effect”
demonizing cops and constraining community policing has resulted in a rise in black-on-black violence and an additional 900 black
males killed in 2015.
Truth – “The truth will set you free, but
first it will make you miserable.” James A. Garfield.
Defense – Now that the President has
renounced the global warming hoax, it should be a “no-brainer” to dismantle the military climate change initiatives to refocus
on military threats.
GWOT – Sunni ISIS is the latest “whack-a-mole” target to be
“defeated” but not destroyed, following Shia
al Qaeda in Iraq, Sunni ex-Baathists in Iraq, and miscellaneous
others.
GWOT – The Guantanamo Bay prison
has vacancies and is open for business for the
most hard core and high level, long term prisoners-of-war in the Global War on
Terror.
Iraq – The victory over ISIS in
Mosul requires, not the military, but the “soft power” of the State
Department and the United Nations to be brought to bear, coupled with relentless,
on-the-ground mediation between rival factions by American advisors and Iraqi
civil society groups.
Israel – The Israeli government
rejected adoption by same-sex couples,
affirming that adoption should be by a man and a woman, without baggage of
same-sex couples.
Europe – The nations
that will not limit the number of refugees coming into their country will see the slow suicide of their national culture and
civilization since assimilation is not required.
Vietnam – More people were killed
in the ten years following the North Vietnamese takeover of South Vietnam than
in the preceding fifteen years of declared war.
