Musings on the Week
July 30, 2016
Politics - “The attacks on our police, and the terrorism in our cities, threaten our very way of life. Any Politician who does not grasp this danger is not fit to lea our country.” Donald Trump.
Politics – President Obama continues to hype his economic programs while only 17% of Americans think the country is on the right track and 82% are dissatisfied with progress.
Politics – George Orwell would describe Democrats as the “Inner Party” that gets to rule when in power, and Republicans as the “Outer Party” that gets to govern when in power.
Politics – The Democrat Party surrendered the white working class to the Republican Party, redefining itself as the party of the permanent, dependent underclass lead by a ruling elite.
Politics - Democrats assume Jews will vote for its candidates despite its anti-Semites, anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions advocates, and a Palestinian flag at Convention.
Politics – Every time the Democrat Party floats a political narrative more emails are released (either from DOJ or Wikileaks) lies and dirty tricks are revealed that undermine any credibility.
Politics - America now has a new two-party system: one party is the Populist Nationalists and the other party is the political class, formerly known as the Democrat Party.
Politics - This week’s distractions from the economy, ObamaCare, and terrorism: Hillary convention coronation and Turkey failed coup aftermath.
Politics – Hillary Clinton is the worst Presidential candidate ever because of her personality, her disastrous record, her lack of accomplishments, and her socialist plans for the future.
Politics - Hillary Clinton’s campaign: “Corrupt Hillary” in charge with more of the same Obama failed policies ignoring the unintended consequences from the first time it was tried.
Politics – Clinton speaker fees and Foundation donations were designed to get around bribery laws and (Rosatom) Uranium One and Laureate Education are two worst offenders.
Politics – Republicans invite families of deceased American heroes to speak at convention, while Democrats invite family of thugs killed while assaulting police officers to speak at theirs.
Politics – Donald Trump is using “Defeat Hillary Vote Trump” to motivate Republican voters, but needs to explain what he will do better and why Democrat voters should vote for him.
Politics – A majority (52%) of Americans think Donald Trump is running to help America, while they also think (54%) Hillary Clinton is only running for personal gain.
National Debt - “President Obama has doubled our national debt to more than $19 trillion, and growing. Yet, what do we have to show for it? Our roads are falling apart, our airports are in a Third World condition, and forty-three million Americans are on food stamps.” Donald Trump.
Economy – Cutting interest rates to zero has been less effective at stimulating growth than hoped; injecting money into the economy via qualitative easing has done no better.
Economy – GDP rose at 1.2% annualized rate in the second quarter as the first quarter was revised down to .0.8%, contrary to President Obama’s assertions of economic prosperity.
Finance – “Too Big to Fail” should mean “Too Big to Exist” requiring repeal of Dodd-Frank and return of Glass-Steagall to bring some semblance of the free market to the Finance industry.
Immigration - In 1990, the immigrant population of the United States was 19.8 million or 7.9% of the population, and now by 2014 it had risen to 42.4 million or 13.3%.
Immigration – The immigration system must be fixed to pressure uncooperative countries to accept their citizens who are here illegally and commit crimes, otherwise catch and release.
Education – A Texas school district reversed and repealed its illegal transgender directive, choosing to work with families to develop individual support plans on a case-by-case basis.
Civil Rights – “Black privilege” includes affirmative action hires and promotions of under-qualified minorities, then requires protecting them from their sub-standard performance.
Crime – A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.
Crime – After three straight acquittals, the Maryland prosecutor dropped all remaining charges in the social justice persecution of the Baltimore police in the Freddie Gray trial.
Abortion – A majority of Americans agree with Donald Trump on the abortion issue, while Hillary Clinton is pushing an abortion agenda opposed by almost 80% of Americans.
Defense – “The most basic duty of government is to defend the lives of its own citizens. Any government that fails to do so is a government unworthy to lead.” Donald Trump.
GWOT – Obama pretends that incidents such as mass murder in Munich, Nice, Orlando, Brussels, Paris, San Bernardino, Chattanooga, and elsewhere are all separate, discrete criminal acts, unrelated, and all requiring extensive investigation to determine the motives.
GWOT – The Munich mass murderer was motivated by Islam with his war cry of “Allahu akbar,” designed to “strike terror in the hearts of the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60).
Europe – The EU’s attempts to incrementally implement a supra-governance structure and a centralized economic system has been revealed and is beginning to disintegrate.
China – The Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Hague ruled against China on the South China Sea issues declaring that none of the “islands” are entitled to 200 mile exclusion zones.
