Musings on the Week
September 1, 2018
Immigration – “We should insist that if an immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin." Theodore Roosevelt.
Politics – Michelle Malkin said it best, “Remember this in November. The ballot box is one of the mightiest platforms we have. Use it or lose it.”
Politics – Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) puts America and its citizens’ affairs first in every discussion, policy decision, domestic legislation and international treaties.
Politics – Democrat’s slogan should be “Guilt Means Always Having to Apologize” (GMAHA) since America never lives up to its evolving ideal and must be forced to pay reparations for past sins, judged by current transformative moral and ethical codes.
Politics – Democrats have embraced a losing anti-American party platform for 2018 (and probably 2020): Impeach Trump, Open Borders and Amnesty, Guaranteed Make-Work Jobs, Raise Taxes (Redistribute Wealth), Confiscate Guns, and Provide Abortion Anytime.
Politics – True justice will not be served until all the Democrats at all levels of government who broke the laws uncovered in the Mueller “witch hunt,” are prosecuted and convicted.
Politics – The biggest impact of the Mueller investigation is the destruction of all trust in the federal government, where Hillary Clinton was clearly guilty of negligently and illegally mishandling classified material (now known to be forwarded to Chinese government).
Politics – Trump’s rise challenged the establishment’s iron grip on power, clarified who was truly conservative and who was just pretending to be conservative as a career move.
Politics – The TEA party movement, which broadly overlaps with the Trump movement, is powered by populist disdain for a party leadership, complacent and morally compromised.
Culture – The Left is rewriting history to a liberal narrative erasing national identity replacing with demagogic propaganda ensuring lessons cannot be learned from the past mistakes.
Media – Vladimir Lenin said “A lie told often enough becomes the truth,” so Donald Trump never lets a lie go unchallenged to make sure these lies don’t become “truth.”
Media – President Trump’s use of Twitter has had a positive impact on the next generation of voters, who agree with him that the media news is biased and are skeptical of its accuracy.
Media – Republicans approve of Trump’s accomplishments by 90%, while only 10% of Democrats approve, because the leftwing media spends 100% of their coverage poisoning their minds, and those Republicans who stand with Democrats watch the same negative coverage day after day, but smart people look behind the Shadow Ban to learn the truth.
Immigration – “The first consideration in immigration is the welfare of the receiving nation.” Thomas Jefferson.
Economy – For the first time in years, American workers will celebrate Labor Day knowing that we finally have the growing economy with lower unemployment, a return of quality jobs from overseas, and a confident American consumer with strong purchasing power.
Economy – The Brooking Institute reports that by 2020, the majority of the world’s population will be “middle class”, enjoying luxury items most Americans view as basic essentials: access to transportation, air conditioning, electricity in homes, and running water.
Economy – American “progressives” point to the Nordic model, with its high-tax, high spend capitalist economy with a generous welfare state, but the country is rethinking this approach since they are “running out of other people’s money to spend” so now a Populist reaction.
Internet – CNN and MSNBC are perennial ratings losers, but social media censorship algorithms somehow favor CNN and MSNBC as the preferred search responses.
Internet – The power of propaganda depends, in large part, upon suppressing the voices of critics, so the Left has embraced outright censorship as their tool of choice.
Immigration – According to the GAO, criminal aliens represent 27% of the total population of inmates incarcerated in federal prison, while 33% of inmates in state and local jail are illegal.
Sexuality – The old saying, “Sex was meant as a wedding gift, not a party favor” has unforeseen consequences: CDC reports Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are on the rise.
Immigration – “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation." Ronald Reagan.
Environment – Arrogant environmentalists, bureaucrats, and politicians, who can’t predict temperatures accurately within a few degrees within the current month, expect us to believe temperature predictions within one degree hundreds of years in the future.
Trade – Lost in all the media distraction on whether “hush money” is illegal, The U.S. is slowly rewriting the NAFTA rules to create a “free trade” agreement that is also fair to the U.S.
GWOT – Islamic Ideology is like cancer that can be temporarily defeated in one area, but can metathesis aggressively somewhere else, so must be defeated everywhere!
GWOT – Jihadists are Muslims who explain their murder and mayhem in terms of Islamic ideology, treating non-Muslims as dhimmi, a loose Arabic translation as sub-humans.
Middle East – The Trump administration will not continue subsidizing the Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership clique, redirecting funds to projects in the West Bank and Gaza.
South Africa – The government of South Africa has striven to overcome the taint of Apartheid by engaging in forced land redistribution, institutionalizing reverse discrimination.
