Musings on the Week

October 13, 2018

Future – "Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer.  Let us not seek to fix blame for the past.  Let us accept our own responsibility for the future."  John F. Kennedy.

Politics – Psychology explains Democrats behavior asprojection” of their own evil character traits on those they oppose (Republicans) and then believe their own lies (“Mythomania”).

Politics - ACORN’s former staffers and chapters have found a new home within a left-leaning network of progressive activists that includes the nonprofit Center for Popular Democracy, Action for the Common Good and the Center for Popular Democracy Action Fund.

Politics – Identity politics pits one group against another for political gain, now progressive ACRONYM is even inciting resentment from younger voters against senior citizens.

Politics – Among the general population, a full 80% believe that “political correctness is a problem in our country undermining understanding and cooperation.

Politics – Fifty years after left wing riots during the Chicago Democratic National Convention handed an election issue and victory to Richard M. Nixon, the Left has handed a similar opportunity to President Trump in his efforts to maintain control of the House of Representatives and enhance the GOP Senate majority.

Politics – Democrats completely misjudged the American people who were capable of seeing through the vicious attacks on Brett Kavanaugh to see a smear of an innocent man.

Politics – The confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh marked the return of the hysterical cry-baby, sore-losers who refuse to accept the new Supreme Court Justice or Trump as President.

Politics – The left doesn't have a problem with partisans on the high court; it has a problem with our partisans on the high court, and It doesn't object to putting flawed men into power; it just doesn't want our flawed men in power

Politics – The Kavanaugh vote confirmed that Democrat Senators vote in lockstep who judge Republicans as guilty until proven innocent and loyal to their party before their nation.

Politics – The attempted political assassination of Brett Kavanaugh has triggered an epiphany for NeverTrumpconservatives” that Trump is the only bulwark between us and a leftist junta intent on annihilating everything we value and anyone who gets in their way.

Politics – The Left’s quest for power includes dismantling those parts of the Constitution they can’t control, such as the Electoral College, the Senate, and the Supreme Court.

Politics – The American Left has completely lost any sense of humor, because things that used to be funny are now micro-aggressions or triggers, cultural appropriation or racist.

Politics – The longer Hillary Clinton remains the Democrats’ idea of a standard-bearer: inept, foolhardy, dismissive of reality, blind to appearances, deaf to lessons, alien to the heartland, and contemptuous of the voters, the better off Republicans are.

Politics – President Trump knows the cure for Trump Derangement Syndrome: deliver on your promises, unleash the American economy, and restore global respect and leadership.

Politics – It all seems so familiar, pundits on television telling us in unison it a near certainty that a blue wave is coming to return Democrats to power in the Congress – Remember 2016!

Media – The establishment media vastly out-funds and out-mans alternative media, but alternative media still kicks their candy asses because truth and decency always wins out.

Media – If your primary source of news is the liberal mainstream media or the biased social media, it is no surprise you suffer from fact deprivation exposed to at most half the truth.

Media – The Progressive Left cannot win on issues, so it resorts to paid partisan puppets posing as protestors staging childish tantrums creating “viral moments” to sell its narrative.

Truth – "The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.”  John F. Kennedy.

Economy – Every time a country starts down the socialism path, it fails as we have seen in Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Chile, Nicaragua and Uruguay.

Economy – The Mercatus Center at George Mason University has ranked states based on five measures of their financial condition: cash solvency, budget solvency, ability to meet long-term spending commitments, state spending and taxes as a share of personal income, and unfunded pension liabilities and debt.

Census – The citizenship question is required to provide the Commerce Department a reliable calculation of the citizen voting-age population required by the Voting Rights Act.

Business – Corporate Social Responsibility diverts critical resources to Social Justice programs and policies that contribute little to profitability and can harm their market performance.

Immigration – Only a person granted the status of “permanent legal resident” by federal law can be considered an immigrant, since all other aliens, including foreign tourists, foreign students, and illegal aliens are considered temporary visitors who can leave any time.

Energy – The ethanol mandate doesn’t boost efficiency, harmful to engines, and pollutes the air, so why is the federal government looking to boost ethanol in gas rather than stopping it?

Environment – Climate change is a political hoax: rampant scientific fraud, concealment of contrarian views, wildly inaccurate predictions, and concealment of inconvenient history.

Feminism – The current radical feminist platform, “I am woman, hear me roar has mutated into screeching, man-hating, eternal victimhood that can be exploited for political gain.

Feminism – Our booze-fueled hook-up culture has made relations between men and women messy, leaving many girls and women with pangs of regret, but this does not equal rape.

Civil Rights – Identity politics created hyper-sensitive snowflakes who have turned communications into a minefield of “hidden meanings” in innocent words or phrases.

Peace – “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” John F. Kennedy.

GWOT – The war in the Middle East is marked by country theaters, each treated as a separate “war,” with changing definitions of success and a lack of pragmatic exit strategies.
