Musings on the Week
October 27, 2018
Power – "The people are the only legitimate fountain of power, and it is from them that the constitutional charter, under which the several branches of government hold their power, is derived." James Madison.
Politics – Donald Trump is no genius, but he has mastered the obvious, is not blinded by his wealth, and speaks for average American voters, which sets him apart from the Democrats.
Politics – Donald Trump has changed the political landscape: there is no more “stupid” party and no more “evil” party, only a “stupid and evil” party and an American party.
Politics – Obama’s Operation Choke Point has been finally unmasked as a blatant misuse of government power for coercion and political punishment.
Politics – Organizing for Action (OFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)4 organization and community organizing project that is officially non-partisan, but its agenda and policies are strongly allied with the Democrat Party as the successor of Obama’s Organizing for America.
Politics – I would not be surprised if bombs sent to Democrat leaders were actually sent by Democrat activists as an October surprise scapegoating unnamed right-wing deplorables.
Politics – Democratic Socialism promulgated by Bernie Sanders and his disciples is a communist Trojan horse disguised as a gentle alternative to Marxism.
Politics – Leftist campaign strategy is: Impeach Trump and Kavanaugh, obstruct any more improvement in the economy, and undermine American return to global leadership.
Politics – All the Democrats in federal and statewide races are not running for anything, they’re all running against Donald Trump, despite Clinton losing with this same strategy.
Media – I feel sorry for most Democrats because ‘they know so much that isn’t true” since their source of information is the slanted mainstream media that only reports information that supports their preconceived partisan narrative, and suppressing all inconvenient facts.
Politics – Despite all the fire, brimstone and perpetual outrage towards Trump since he took office, he now has a 47% approval, which is higher than Obama’s before his first midterm.
Media – Remember that the same geniuses that predicted a Clinton landslide in 2016 are the same people predicting a huge win by Democrats in next week’s midterm election.
Rights – "The rights of persons, and the rights of property, are the objects, for the protection of which Government was instituted.” James Madison.
Economy – The Scandinavian nations have pulled back from their quasi-socialist experiments and are instead cutting government spending growth, lowering taxes, privatizing social security, reducing their once-generous welfare programs, and pursuing free-market policies.
Regulation – The OMB found the Trump regulatory reform saved families and businesses $23 billion in Fiscal Year 2018 by getting rid of unduly burdensome and unnecessary regulation.
Finance – Most governments in the world embrace the Stable Money principle, linking their currencies to the dollar, euro, or some other standard of value, but not linked to gold.
Finance – Total student loan debt in our country has hit $1.5 trillion, but 4 million people have the potential to default by 2023, which represents 40% of all student loans.
Internet – Google and Facebook have positioned themselves as the internet’s thought police, threatening to stamp out one of America’s most cherished freedoms: Free Speech.
Welfare – Universal Basic Income has been tried before and the only thing it accomplished is to give away a lot of money, while creating a disincentive to work and wages dropped.
Immigration – The migrant “caravan” is really an invasion of no-skilled, non-English speaking people marching up Central America to meet liberal activists at the border greeting them with open arms to help them skirt our laws in the hope that they’ll become Democrat voters.
Immigration – People requesting asylum are fleeing political, ethnic, or religious persecution; people fleeing economic depression and criminal violence are not eligible for asylum.
Immigration - According to Customs, of the 94,285 Central American families apprehended last year, 99% of them remain in the country today, and 98% of the 31,754 unaccompanied minors from the Central America remain in the country.
Environment – A growing number of scientists are saying the highly touted climate models predicting steadily increasing global temperature due to humans’ carbon-dioxide emissions are wrong and that Earth could soon face something even more dire: global cooling.
Elections – Vote fraud exists at each step of election process: Voter rolls polluted by dead voters, voters registered at multiple addresses, voters ineligible to vote, and fictitious voters; Voters are not verified in person with valid identification or absentee ballots without any validation; and Vote counts are inaccurate due to overt vote exclusion or manipulation.
Elections – A 2016 Gallup poll found that 77% of non-whites support voter ID, nearly as high as the 81% of whites who support it, and has proven to have had no impact on voter turnout.
Education – Harvard documents show, if admission was based on academic performance, less than 1% of black Americans but 43% of Asian-Americans would be admitted.
Education – Since the advent of the centralized Common Core model eight years ago, national and international assessments show serious declines in U.S. student achievements.
Civil Rights – Now that DNA has been found to indicate a diverse heritage for everyone, it is time to answer the race question with “other” and self-identify “American” as the race.
Defense – “A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained in arms, is the best most natural defense of a free country.” James Madison.
GWOT – Islam has been at war with the West for fourteen centuries, ever since Mohammed created the religion and ideology centered on forcing the world to submit under Islam.
