Musings on the Week
Musings on the Week
November 26, 2016
Patriotism – “My dream is of a place and a time
where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.” Abraham
Lincoln.
Politics
– Democrats use psychological projection to
defend their shortcoming by denying their own unconscious impulses and
qualities and then attributing them to Republicans.
Politics –
Democrats view Republicans and the right wing as “enemies” to be destroyed, while Republicans view Democrats and the left wing as opponents
to be defeated.
Politics
– Democrats have sabotaged their own credibility by labeling anyone who doesn’t agree with their agenda as
a racist, sacrificing all political legitimacy and power.
Politics –
Democrats in Congress are far more likely to adhere to the
leftist orthodoxy while Republicans are quick to
abandon campaign promises made to conservative constituents.
Politics
– Trump’s
victory in the Presidential election brought an end to the Bush, Clinton,
and Obama
regimes, proving you don’t have to be a lawyer or a member of the
political elite.
Politics
– 2016 was a year of revolution: first in
the U.K. voting for “Brexit” rejecting
European Union, and now in the U.S.
election rejecting political establishment of both
political parties.
Politics – Another lesson from the 2016 election was that Trump’s
issues, mainly economic, campaign resonated better with the
American voters than appeals to identity politics.
Politics
– Just like Occupy Wall Street, the Anti-Trump
protestors are revealed as juvenile crybabies who rant, rave, and riot,
but still are disconnected from political reality.
Politics
– Apparently the liberal approach to losing a
Presidential election is to stamp their feet and cry in public is more confirmation of voters’ decision to elect Donald Trump.
Politics
– So long as high ranking Democrats, such
as Hillary Clinton, can violate the
law with impunity, Donald Trump will
never be able to drain the swamp of political corruption.
Scandals
– The problem is not Hillary Clinton, the
problem is that none of Obama’s
scandals were ever prosecuted and no one was ever held accountable:
2008 Black Panther voter
intimidation, 2009 Solyndra loan/bankruptcy, 2010
Fast and Furious gunrunning, 2012 Benghazi attack, 2013 IRS political
targeting, 2014 VA waiting lists, or 2015 Clinton emails)!
Media
– The mainstream media seeks to banish
conservative “fake news”
sites since they can’t compete on truthfulness, so they resort to
concerns about journalism and civic virtue.
Media
– The new administration should ridicule
(Alinsky Rule # 5) the mainstream media as liberal shills whose “reports”
should always be viewed as suspect and biased.
Media
– If a media organization brags about its
“narrative,” avoid its spin like the plague,
unless you already drink the same brand and flavor kool-aid.
Media
– After promising to shape up after the election, the
mainstream media is already back to its old game of
manufacturing “fake news” and echoing between themselves.
Politics
– If President Trump questions
precedent, he will discover there is no role for the First Lady, so abolishing the office would free Melania to return to the career of her choice.
Government
– If President Trump snubs
White House as his primary residence, it would open up the question of a decentralized Congress allowing representatives to live in home districts.
Patriotism
– “If we
ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we
will be a nation gone under.” Ronald Reagan.
Debt
– Our current federal debt projections show that we will spend more on debt interest than we do on our
national defense within ten years.
Finance
– Beware of Federal Reserve’s artificially
depressed interest rate s being raised arbitraily causing the collapse of the financial
“house of cards” and the next recession.
Pensions
– Public employee retirement systems assume a 7%
return to fund their accounts, but lately their returns
have been less than 1% generating billions in unfunded liabilities.
Jobs
– Democrat hypocrisy will be on display next month as
the BLS reports unemployment rate down due to part time
hiring of professional community agitators for Anti-Trump protests.
Infrastructure
– Hopefully Trump will learn from Obama’s “stimulus”
experience and not just throw money at “infrastructure” but insist each project be cost justified with a positive return.
Healthcare
– Single-payer healthcare
failed in Vermont and now when voters were asked
in Colorado, it was crushed
by almost a 4-1 margin as unaffordable and undo-able.
Elections
– Of the nearly 700 counties
that twice send Barack Obama to the
White House in 2008 and 2012, a stunning one-third
flipped to support Donald Trump in
2016.
Sexuality – Sports has been polluted by transgenderism with summer Olympic women’s
hurdles and Tour
de Tucson bike racing won by biological men entered in
women’s races.
Sexuality – The gay agenda has
again expanded to become LGBTTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally,
pansexual).
Civil Right – Racism is a subjective
comparison of races concluding one's own race is superior and others are
inferior, so members of all races can be racist and
commit racial hate crimes.
Civil Rights – Only in a
Progressive Bizarro-like alternative reality are manufacturied hate crimes accepted as long as the hoax is not
revealed until the media has already moved on.
Patriotism
–
“I look
forward to a great future for America - a future in which our country will
match its military strength with our moral restraint, its wealth with our
wisdom, its power with our purpose.” John F. Kennedy.
