The 2016 election is about the possibility of releasing the USA from its lockdown of hatred; a hatred that has all but swiped America off the world map; a hatred that gutted America’s role as leader of the Free World, the same way as it gutted the nation’s Armed Forces; a hatred that allows murderers and rapists to be set free from prisons; a hatred that gives carte blanche to ISIS, which the current administration refuses to even name, and everything in between.  This election is about how even after We the People empowered the Republican ‘Opposition’ with two midterm victories over a 7-year-span, most Republicans took full advantage of that power to promptly jump into the enemy camp.  Election 2016 is hurtling its way toward Western Society with what has to be the biggest Unsolved Mystery of all time:  Why have most Congress members given President Barack Obama time and space for his crippling, visceral hatred of America via a phone and a pen?  How can Pope Francis, representing a religion based on Christ’s never ending Love, ignore Obama’s hatred and lend his name to the outrageous lie that global warming/climate danger is a bigger threat to mankind than Islamist terrorism?  How can folk who consider themselves civilized ignore the fact that the Obama administration still supports Planned Parenthood amid all its scandals and still uses tax payer dollars to support abortion worldwide?  The Democrats and their powerful social media friends operate from a kind of thinking that they own the masses through technology.  For the sake of your loved ones make no mistake about what Election 2016 is about: Obama seeks to continue his legacy of hatred through the former lying Secretary of State that allowed him to get away with Benghazi and other foreign policy measures that weakened the position of America in the world.  Election 2016 is more important than any other to date by virtue of it’s being about the very future of your children and grandchildren.  Election 2016 is about the turnaround survival or continuing downfall of Western Society as we know it.  Put aside both apathy and egos to bring a merciful end to Obama’s more than 7-year-long destruction of America propelled by his visceral unreasonable hatred for the country that gave him everything.

There is a cancer growing in the United States; it is the cancer of ignorance and lack of leadership, and it is growing into a malignancy.  Too many of us, both in and out of public service, cannot or will not recognize what is threatening our very existence and cannot decide elemental questions like:  Is capitalism better than socialism?  When George Bush (43) left office, the Middle East was stable and al Qaeda was on the run.  Now Iran is on the verge of a nuclear weapon with the means to finish the project and further fund terrorism throughout the world… and we’re helping to pay for it!  AL Qaeda has been allowed to morph and combine with other groups to form ISIS, creating havoc over the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and soon, to a greater degree, the United States.  Syria, Iraq and Libya have experienced hundreds of thousands of dead including a veritable Christian holocaust with millions of refugees pouring into Europe and the United States; many of them creating a hardship for the host country.  Our lack of leadership has been nothing less than stunning.  Our President and his administration, with much Democrat support, refuse to see the world as it is.  Saying that Islam is just like other religions is naive and just plain wrong.  No, vast numbers of Christians do not believe that if you leave the Christian religion you should be killed for it.  Almost half of the Democrat Party believes socialism is either good or are open to it.  Our schools no longer teach history and economics.  They teach that the difference between socialism and communism is that socialism is voted in while communism is forced in.  They teach in economics that waiting in line for hours for a pair of shoes (if any are available) is just as good as a trip to the mall.  There is a tremendous knowledge gap created by an education system that is antithetical to our very system of government and our Judeo-Christian heritage.  It has bled profusely into our culture, government, entertainment and institutions.  The disease did not happen overnight.  It has been a long time coming and it has been allowed to grow unrestrained.  The future always belongs to those who are willing to see over the next hill, accept it for what it is and deal with it, because the cancer is growing and it will, unless checked, kill the host.

Obama’s left wing radicalism emptied the country of traditional American values and hope, leaving a vacuum of angst and despair.  Two thirds of Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.  The GOP is part of the problem during these past seven years.  Two landslide midterm elections gave Republicans control of the House and the Senate.  They campaigned promising to stop the Obama agenda, or at least offer substantive opposition to the Democrats. Instead we hear whining and excuses of why they couldn’t fulfill any of their campaign promises.  ObamaCare is still in place, funding intact.  The borders are open with refugee migration programs fully funded.  Abhorrent Planned Parenthood, selling aborted fetal tissues for profit remains fully funded.  Far left judges are readily confirmed by a Republican controlled Senate.  Budget deals are passed further increasing the national debt.  In turn, debt limits are raised to accommodate the budget deals.  There is no Republican opposition, despite being the majority party in Congress, and no effort to rally the support of the millions of voters who gave the GOP large Congressional majorities.  The agenda of the left marches merrily along, as if Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid were still running Congress.  Along comes Donald Trump, promising to close the borders, build a wall, repeal ObamaCare, stop the flood of unverifiable immigrants, with a pithy but resonating promise to “Make America Great Again.”  If Republicans were doing what they promised, offering principled opposition to the Democrat agenda, there wouldn’t be a need for a Donald Trump, or a Ted Cruz.  Fox News, a supposed right leaning news network, is at war with Trump.  Even many good conservatives at the National Review Online are piling on The Donald.  If the Republicans functioned as an opposition party rather than an enabling party, the Obama presidency would have merely nudged the country leftward, rather than turning the country in a far left direction.  The establishments of both parties would be happy if the status quo would be maintained.  Only a small course correction would be needed, not the total turnaround currently necessary.  This is the void that Donald Trump is filling: opposition to the leftist agenda of Barack Obama and his allies in Congress, the judiciary, regulatory agencies, Hollywood, academia, and the media.  Actually this revolt is bigger than Trump.  He just happens to be well positioned and willing to fill this void.  It’s about the leftist agenda driving full speed ahead, fundamentally transforming America into a country most Americans don’t recognize or want.  The GOP was elected in two landslides to stop or slow the damage and the GOP did nothing.  If the GOP wonders why Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are leading in the polls, all they have to do is look in the mirror.

In every nation where it’s been tried, socialism has been a colossal failure in terms of the society’s economy. As the late Margaret Thatcher noted, “the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”  Socialism also typically entails various forms of authoritarianism, or, at the very least, some government regimentation of society.  If America were to succumb to socialism, or even if socialists were to become a significant force in society, our democratic way of life would be seriously endangered, and our future would be even bleaker than it already may be.  Let’s look at the factors indicating Americans’ growing approval of, or at least tolerance for, socialism.  The most obvious indication of socialism’s enhanced standing in America is the ability of Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, the 74-year-old left-wing curmudgeon who is an avowed socialist, to attract a sizable following in the campaign for the Democrat party’s Presidential nomination in 2016.  One particularly unsettling aspect of Sanders’s popularity is his attractiveness to young people, especially college students. Sanders attributes his popularity among young people to: (1) their belief that, unless drastic changes are made to American society, their futures will be bleak; and (2) their essential idealism.  This may be an instance of the situation specified by Winston Churchill, who allegedly said “if an individual isn’t a leftist at 20, he/she has no heart; if that person is still a leftist at 40, he/she is brain-dead.”  There is ample evidence that people under 30 have more favorable views of socialism than older folks.  A Gallup poll in June, 2015 found that 69% of Millennials said they would vote for a socialist candidate for president.  Recent polls have asked random samples of the public if they have favorable or unfavorable views of a number of words such as socialism, capitalism, progressive, family values, etc.  The Pew Research Center for The People & The Press found, in 2011, 31% of the public said their views of socialism were positive, while 60% told Pew their views were negative.   Finally, we must mention that Obama and his left-wing comrades, including Hillary Clinton, have waged class warfare to advance their goals, with the mainstream media’s approval.  A plethora of poll data indicates how popular class warfare, which is a precursor of socialism, is these days.   Recent polls show that: (1) only 32% of the populace believe “the distribution of money and wealth” in America is “fair,” while 60% think it should be “more even”; and (2) 68% of Americans agree that “the rich” should pay more in taxes, while only 28% disagree.  Given the evident antipathy of large slices of the populace for “the rich” and the declining popularity of capitalism, it is perhaps not surprising that socialism is on the march.  As America enters what may be the most pivotal Presidential election in decades, we who reject socialism have our work cut out for us.
