There is little doubt that future historians and others will conclude that President Barack Hussein Obama was the worst President ever to serve in that office.  The reason is simple enough: his decisions on domestic and foreign affairs have already demonstrated his astonishing incompetence.  If he is remembered for anything it well may be the emergence of the Tea Party movement whose influence has been seen over the course of two midterm elections.  America was particularly blessed and fortunate in its earliest years to have a succession of men who demonstrated extraordinary intelligence, courage, and moral integrity. Following Washington there was John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, and John Quincy Adams.  Few nations have been so blessed as ours.  President Obama has brought nothing to the presidency except his Marxist theology. He was the least prepared in terms of experience in the workplace and his elections have been more about the manipulation of public opinion and his two terms have been an endless succession of lies.  His signature legislation, ObamaCare, has undermined the nation’s healthcare system.  His solution to the Great Recession added more debt in his six years in office than the combined debt of every previous President and did not stimulate the economy as promised.  His ignorance of history and of current events is vast.  He has been protected by a liberal mainstream media, but the voters have seen through that and have turned political power in Congress over to the Republican Party.  One thing is for sure: on future President’s Days, Obama will barely be noticed when Americans look back on those who did much to address the great issues and challenges of their times.

Next month marks the 50th anniversary of Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s report on the black family, the controversial document issued while he served as an assistant secretary in President Lyndon Johnson’s Labor Department, which highlighted troubling cultural trends among inner-city blacks, with a special focus on the increasing number of fatherless homes.  The fundamental problem was that of family structure, with the Negro family in the urban ghettos crumbling.  For his troubles, Moynihan was denounced as a victim-blaming racist bent on undermining the civil-rights movement.  The Great Society architects would go on to expand old programs or formulate new ones that exacerbated the problems Moynihan identified.  Marriage was penalized and single parenting was subsidized. In effect, the government paid mothers to keep fathers out of the home, and paid them well.  History has proved that Moynihan was onto something.  When the report was released, about 25% of black children and 5% of white children lived in a household headed by a single mother.  During the next 20 years the black percentage would double and the racial gap would widen.  Today more than 70% of all black births are to unmarried women, twice the white percentage.  For decades research has shown that the likelihood of teen pregnancy, drug abuse, dropping out of school and many other social problems grew dramatically when fathers were absent.  Ultimately, the Moynihan report was an attempt to have an honest conversation about family breakdown and black pathology, one that most liberals still refuse to join.  Faulting ghetto culture for ghetto outcomes remains largely taboo among those who have turned bad behavior into a symbol of racial authenticity.  Later this year the nation also will mark the 50th anniversary of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which some consider the most significant achievement of the modern-day civil-rights movement.  Today black voter-registration rates in the South, where most blacks still live, are higher than in other regions of the country, and for the first time on record the black voter-turnout rate in 2012 exceeded white turnout.  Rarely does government action achieve its objective with such speed and precision, as racial restrictions to ballot access were removed and black political power increased dramatically.  Even as we note this progress, the political gains have not redounded to the black underclass, which by several important measures, including income, academic achievement and employment, has stagnated or lost ground over the past half-century.  While the civil-rights establishment and black political leaders continue to deny it, family structure offers a much more plausible explanation of these outcomes than does residual white racism.  In 2012 the poverty rate for all blacks was more than 28%, but for married black couples it was 8.4% and has been in the single digits for two decades.  Just 8% of children raised by married couples live in poverty, compared with 40% of children raised by single mothers.  One important lesson of the past half-century is that counterproductive cultural traits can hurt a group more than political clout can help it.

Since President Obama is sticking with his narrative that climate change is effecting more Americans than terrorism is, it's time to take a hard look at the “settled science” he's hanging this idea on in the first place.  First, let's address the claims that human beings are doing irreparable harm to our environment, and adversely affecting our climate through our failure to cut back enough on carbon emissions.  Co-founder of Greenpeace, Patrick Moore, testified before the Senate on the inconvenient truth of climate change:

“There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.  Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species.”

Now there is the developing story about the statistics that the climatologists are using to prove their contentions that the planet is actually getting warmer.  Unfortunately, their models are apparently made by altering the actual reported temperatures at weather stations around the world.  This statistical manipulation goes back decades, or at least current scientists are playing with numbers that are decades old, to make the temperatures match their theories.  As the scientific bases of liberal environmental policies continue to be debunked, there are also indications that there is political favoritism involved in deciding which “green” technologies are worthy of funding, and which are not.  The bottom line is that science is not necessarily scientific today, particularly where climatology and other environmental sciences are concerned.  They have been poisoned by government dollars, which leads to sloppy scientific work, and it appears, outright fraud.  Human beings have been adapting and changing to fit our environment for millions of years, and will continue to do so. If anything, we are much better off than our ancient ancestors, thanks to our advancements in technology. Change will always happen, and governments and politicians shouldn’t decide the pace, and most importantly, human beings pose a far greater threat to each other than they pose to our environment.

The elections that took place in November 2014 must have told the Socialist Democrats in Congress and the anti-Christian, pro-Islam Obama Administration that the great majority of the country’s citizens are fed up with ever-increasing taxes, mindless and killing profligate spending and more growth in deficit creating, and Obama-welfare-type government.  Why is it that the simple message of “NO” sent by the voters in the 2014 elections, is not understood by these myopic, warp-minded, socially and governmentally bankrupt do-gooders who say they’re for the “little people” when in fact they’re actually strangling those same people?  Obama has been personally responsible for the greatest increase in our country’s national debt which has increased astronomically during his seven years in office probably more than the combined total of all 43 of his successors in the office of POTUS.  It hasn’t been anywhere close to being beneficial to the country; it has put our fiscal situation on shakier ground than even our world leadership position, which declines almost daily in critical matters.  Obama apparently is unable to learn from events as clear and loud as those election results.  He still thinks that higher taxes, more spending and more government are the cures for higher taxes, more spending and bigger government.  There has to be a medical term for a malady of that nature, but he is going about fixing or controlling it with insanity, by repeating the same thing and expecting different results.  President Obama is proposing a 2016 budget that spends nearly $4 trillion, the centerpiece of which is additional taxes on “the wealthy” and on businesses, the two economic demographics that already contribute (by far) the bulk of the nation’s income taxes.  To pay for them, the budget will cut inefficient spending and close tax loopholes to make sure that everyone pays their fair share.”  There are multitudes of American citizens that would really like to know just what he means by saying “fair share.”  How does Obama justify saying that when damn near half of the people in this country do not even pay ONE PENNY in income taxes and yet, receive a check from the government along with food stamps that are just like money.  Seriously, all of us had better start hammering our Congressional Representatives and Senators to tell Obama that he has had all the goodies he is going to get, and the voters told government in 2014, “No more tax increases; No more unnecessary spending; and No more government growth.

The Obama administration has been juggling its job data to make the unemployment rates look much lower than they really are.  Now, Jim Clifton, chairman and CEO of the respected Gallup Poll organization, has written a blistering broadside on the devious ways the Department of Labor defines its monthly job numbers that he calls "The Big Lie."  The numbers do not count millions of Americans who want and need full-time jobs but are not defined as among the unemployed, remains the chief reason why the jobless rate has fallen.  Obama has been going around the country crowing about the unemployment rate falling into the mid-5% range, down from its10% peak in October of 2009.  The declining jobless rate proves his policies were working and had pulled the economy out of its deep recession, he claims.  The nightly network news shows have been among his principal accomplices and cheerleaders in this shady con-job.  The Bureau of Labor Statistics, the data-gathering arm of the Labor Department, reported that the unemployment rate in January came in at 5.6%.  None of them will tell you this: If you, a family member or anyone is unemployed and has subsequently given up finding a job the Department of Labor doesn't count you as unemployed.  As many as 30 million Americans are either out of work or severely underemployed.  The government's statistical, sleight-of-hand tricks don't stop there in this administration's numbers-hiding shell game.  Many others are uncounted, too.  If you perform a minimum of one hour of work a week and are paid at least $20… you're not officially counted as unemployed in the much reported 5.6%.  Gallup's surveys of workers 18 and older put the real unemployment rate at 7% and the underemployment rate at a whopping 16%.  Therefore, the official unemployment rate, which cruelly overlooks the suffering of the long-term and often permanently unemployed as well as the depressingly underemployed, amounts to a “Big Lie.”  Another figure that hardly ever gets mentioned in the nightly news is the shrinking size of the U.S. labor force.  One of the ways we measure the health of our economy is by the percentage of adult, working age Americans who are employed which is a staggeringly low rate of 44%.  When the CEO of the nation's top polling organization charges that the numbers being cited by the President have been cooked and are not to be believed, it would be big news.  It would be a scandal, of course, if the occupant in the White House were a Republican.  Yet, not surprisingly, the three major news networks ignored Clifton's "big lie" story.  The American people know when they are being lied to about the job market getting "better and better", without challenging any of its dubious data.

(“The unemployment Figure Is a ‘Big Lie’” by Donald Lambro dated February 10, 2015 published by Town Hall at http://townhall.com/columnists/donaldlambro/2015/02/10/the-unemployment-figure-is-a-big-lie-n1955193 )

Unlike Nixon and Clinton, who lied in self-defense, Obama lies proactively, which is decidedly more dangerous.   He will say practically anything to achieve his goals without regard to the truth.  The repeated assertion about keeping your doctor and your health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is just one famous example.  The President made a statement on radical Islam that dwarfed his claims about ObamaCare:

“I reject a notion that somehow that creates a religious war because the overwhelming majority of Muslims reject that interpretation of Islam. They don’t even recognize it as being Islam, and I think that for us to be successful in fighting this scourge, it’s very important for us to align ourselves with the 99.9% of Muslims who are looking for the same thing we’re looking for — order, peace, prosperity.”

This number is outrageous, which is absurd on the face of it and not remotely supported by any of the numerous polls on the subject.  Although the data is somewhat fluid, we can assume that out of 1.7 billion Muslims worldwide, at least 200 million are sympathetic to the goals and means of the Islamists, many of them willing to put their scimitars where their mouths are.  Daniel Pipes points out the Islamist numbers are diminishing, but the raw totals are still huge and nowhere remotely in the vicinity of Obama’s risible point .01%.   So why did Obama lie, and what does that mean?  To begin with, he is a moral narcissist.  He thinks he knows what’s right and knows what we should do and is free to say anything he wishes that he believes will achieve those goals, especially if he thinks he can get away with it.  Obama is probably not a Muslim, but he does have an Islamic childhood with which he identifies, undoubtedly on a more profound level than he does with Christianity, which he joined for expedient reasons.  Therefore, he can’t acknowledge to himself and others that Islam is severely sick and in need of serious reformation.  No talk from Obama ever about all the extreme misogyny and homophobia that pervades Islam, nor of Shariah law.  Complicating this psychological disturbance on the part of our President is his desire to make a deal with Iran, almost at all costs.  Bizarre as it sounds, a deal with Iran would prove to Obama that Islam, at least in its Iranian shiite form, is capable of modernity, but to the rest of us, it means they’re capable of nuclear war.  In any case, Obama’s greatest lie about Islam is designed to include Iran and its leaders in the good 99.9%, and I can’t imagine a scarier thought.
