Liberals are bewildered and embarrassed and some are even ashamed of themselves, not that they will readily admit it. The man who was their hero has now been unmasked in every direction as the worst President since the Civil War and possibly earlier. Not only is he a cheesy liar, everything he has done, domestic and foreign, has failed, sometimes to extraordinary degrees. The domestic part is bad enough, but at least that might be reparable. The foreign is another matter. The world is spinning out of control. Who knows where that will end? Our liberal friends have left us with a pile of dung the size of the Horsehead Nebula, and digging out will be a titanic undertaking, especially in the aforementioned area of foreign affairs. Ironically, Republicans have been jumping up and down about the inept Affordable Care Act, but the real problems left by the Obama administration will be global. You don’t easily roll back an Iranian nuclear weapon or regain respect for America as the global leader when it is being dissed in nearly every corner of the planet. Just as nature abhors a vacuum, global leadership abdicated rapidly finds a replacement. When bringing up the subject of foreign policy, it’s not necessary, although tempting, to bring up what incompetents Obama-Hillary-Kerry have been, or even to refer to such titanic moments of ineptitude as Obama’s whispered message to Putin about his future “flexibility” after election or the repellent non-reaction of our president to the freedom movement in Iran. Those events may be a bridge too far for our liberal friends. They may not be able to “contain” them, as the shrinks would say. Maybe liberals are ready to share a little mutual misery about the state of things, a furrowed brow or two, that admission could lead them to do some quiet thinking when at home, lest they embarrass themselves.

Progressives are awful people willing to exploit anything and anyone to advance their agenda. From the human props trotted out at every White House event, there’s no line they won’t cross, no lie they won’t tell, to force their government religion on people who simply want to be left alone. Progressives have learned the lessons of the 20th century – public relations trumps all. You can do anything, no matter how despicable, as long as you couple it with flowery prose and staged visuals. Propaganda is king, and stated intentions supersede actual results. Progressives cheer ObamaCare as a way to “help” people but ignore the millions harmed by it. Having the media on their side helps, and they’re so far in the tank for the agenda they’d make the progressive propagandists of the last century, from the Soviet Union and Germany to China and Cuba, blush. Blame for what journalism has become lies firmly with its perpetrators, but this didn’t occur in a vacuum. That it was allowed to be co-opted by the left, along with the rest of pop culture, is not progressives’ fault. The metastasizing of the progressive philosophy, and the acceptance of lies as truth, is aided and steered by the George Soroses of the world, but it was and is funded by us. With rare exception, conservatives have abandoned Hollywood, the media and academia, areas in which they were once major players. Every movie ticket or newspaper we buy, every second we spend on any given television network is another dollar going into the coffers of the forces pushing the agenda conservatives oppose - we are feeding the beast. The beast is as dependent upon that money as any junkie is to heroin, and in that money is power. Taking on the Progressive Media Complex whole cloth isn’t possible unless everyone immediately becomes Amish and unplugs. That won’t happen, nor should it, but conservatives should not continue to feed the beast that views them as the enemy, to fund its assault against everything we hold true. If you’re sick of having your beliefs attacked by self-proclaimed journalists who misinform and flat-out lie to the American people, stop feeding the beast. Conservatives can complain about media bias till the cows come home, but we’re feeding it, and until that stops, nothing is going to change.

The most dynamic and influential religion of the past hundred years has not been Christianity, let alone Judaism, the two religions that created the Western world. Nor has it been Islam; it has been Leftism. Leftism has influenced the literary, academic, media, and, therefore, the political elite far more than any other religion, and has taken over Western schools from elementary through graduate. Various incarnations of Marxism have been the dominant expressions of Leftism: specifically, income redistribution, material equality and socialism. With the downfall of most communist regimes, other left-wing expressions have generated even more passion: first feminism and then environmentalism. Nothing comes close to environmentalism in generating left-wing enthusiasm. It is the religion of our time because for the left, the earth has supplanted patriotism. The infamous Time magazine cover of April 21, 2008 that altered the most iconic photograph in American history, Joe Rosenthal's picture of the marines planting the flag on Iwo Jima, substituted one depicting the marines planting a tree. The caption on the cover read: "How to Win the War on Global Warming." In other words, Global warming is the enemy today, and instead of allegiance to the nation's flag, now our allegiance must be to nature. The Judeo-Christian worldview is that man is at the center of the universe; nature was therefore created for man. Worship of nature was the pagan worldview, a worship that the Hebrew Bible was meant to destroy. With the demise of the biblical religions that have provided the American people with their core values since their country's inception, we are reverting to the pagan worldview. Trees and animals are venerated, while man is simply one more animal in the ecosystem, and largely a hindrance, not an asset. Environmentalists oppose the Keystone pipeline to value nature over man. The pipeline will provide work for thousands of people and it will enable Canada and the United States to increasingly break away from dependence on other countries for their energy needs, but to the true believers who make up much of the environmentalist movement, none of that matters. One of the fathers of the green movement is James Lovelock, the scientist who originated the Gaia hypothesis of the earth as a single living organism. Talking about the environmental movement, Lovelock says: 'It's become a religion, and religions don't worry too much about facts.'" As G.K. Chesterton prophesied over a hundred years ago: "When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing -- they believe in anything," and now it's the environment.

President Obama proclaimed "Seven point one million people have signed up!" but six million people lost their coverage and were forced onto the exchanges; that's no triumph, it's a manipulation. When you view ObamaCare at a distance, you cannot call it anything but a huge, historic mess. It is also unique in the annals of American lawmaking and government administration. Democrats, who for the past three years would carry on like blithering idiots making believe they'd read the bill and understood its implications, were later taken aback by complaints from their constituents. The White House, on the other hand, seems to have understood what the bill would do, and lied in a way so specific it showed they knew exactly what to spin and how. "If you like your health-care plan, you can keep your health-care plan, period." "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period." Lies were told repeatedly by the President, misrepresenting the facts of his signature legislative effort. The leaders of our government have not felt, throughout the process, that they had any responsibility to be honest and forthcoming about the major aspects of the program, from its exact nature to its exact cost. What the bill declared it would do, insure millions of uninsured Americans, it has not done. There are still tens of millions uninsured Americans. On the other hand, it has terrorized millions who did have insurance and lost it, or who still have insurance and may lose it. The program is unique in that the bill that was signed four years ago is not the law, or rather program, that now exists because parts of it have been changed or delayed over thirty times. It is telling that the President rebuffed Congress when it asked to work with him on alterations, but had no qualms about doing them by executive fiat. Obama said: ObamaCare "is doing what it's supposed to do; it's working. ... The debate over repealing this law is over" If ObamaCare is doing what it's supposed to do, then it was supposed to create chaos in the health care industry, increase our premiums, cause people to lose their doctors, reduce the quality of care and cost the government unconscionable sums of money. The cost of the blunder has been too high in terms of policy and politics, so Congress and the President are trying to put a happy face on it.

“Obama Tackled in the End Zone” by David Limbaugh dated April 4, 2014 published by Town Hall at http://townhall.com/columnists/davidlimbaugh/2014/04/04/obama-tackled-in-the-end-zone-n1818445)
The U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), the broadest measure of our country's entire economic output, grew no more than 2.6% in the fourth quarter, a pitifully low growth rate for the largest economy in the world. Averaged across the four quarters of last year, real GDP added 1.9% in 2013 from 2012, but 1.9% growth for all of last year is dreadful by any comparison, and economists aren't expecting anything much better than somewhere around 2% in the first quarter and maybe beyond. By any relevant comparison, this is another sign that the U.S. economy continues to stumble along at a sub-par pace in the sixth year of Barack Obama's economically unfulfilled Presidency. A 4 to 5% growth rate is needed to provide enough jobs and restore housing prices to pre-recession levels. That's the kind of robust economic growth rate we need to produce 350,000 jobs a month to boost employment to pre-recession levels. Obama's underperforming economy created a little over 100,000 jobs in January and a disappointing 175,000 in February, with little expectations of significantly larger job numbers in the months to come. If all of these uncounted discouraged workers began looking for a job again, the real unemployment rate would be 9.6%. Throughout 2013, higher taxes on all income classes, President Obama's levies on the wealthy, higher local taxes on the middle class, and reinstatement of Social Security taxes on lower income workers, depressed consumer spending. The remaining three years in Obama's economy are unlikely to get much better, if the latest economic figures and studies are any forecast of the future. Interest rates are headed up, driven higher by the Fed's grossly mistaken belief that the economy is improving, and thus it can take its foot off its stimulus pedal. That will likely wreak havoc with the housing industry, shrinking home sales and the availability of construction jobs. This economy stinks, and even though it's not getting reported on the evening news, the American know that our country has been moving in the wrong direction ever since 2009.

Democracy was reinvented in the U.S. Constitution, as representative democracy, and government by popular consent proved ingenious, and the United States grew into the world’s leading power: economically, culturally and militarily. Democracy was invented in Athens in which the people ruled themselves, and that constitution proved marvelously effective. Athens grew in wealth and capacity, saw off the Persian challenge, established itself as the leading power in the known world and produced treasures of art, architecture, and philosophy that bedazzle to this day. However when privilege, corruption and 250 years of mismanagement took hold, the lights went out. 2000 years later, In Europe, democracies overtook authoritarian monarchies and fascist and communist dictatorships. In recent decades, democracy’s spread has made the remaining autocracies a minority. The second democratic experiment is nearing 250 years and it has been as successful as the first, but the lesson from Athens is that success does not breed success. Democracy is not the default. It is a form of government that must be created with determination, but will disintegrate unless nurtured. In the United States and Britain, democracy is disintegrating when it should be nurtured by leadership. If the lights go out in the model democracies, they will not stay on elsewhere. It’s not enough for governments to simply be democratic; they must deliver or decay. In Britain, government is increasingly ineffectual. Meanwhile, the health of the U.S. system is even worse than it looks. The three branches of government are designed to deliver thru checks and balances, but balance has become gridlock, and the U.S. is not getting the governance it needs. In Athens, democracy disintegrated when the rich grew super-rich, refused to play by the rules and undermined the established system of government. That is the point that the United States and Britain have reached. The lesson from Athens is that success breeds complacency. People, notably those in privilege, stopped caring and democracy was neglected. Six years after the global economic crisis, in the the model democracies, those in privilege are unable to care and that our systems are unable to learn.

Islam is being sold in the United States to lull our society into a false sense of complacency regarding the real aims and effects of Islamic incursion in America. They claim that Islam has been misinterpreted for 1,400 years, and present a bogus definition of jihad and Islamophobia. Jihad is offensive, and duplicity and deception tactically confuse opponents and are inherent in Islam. The military conquest of formerly Christian, Jewish, Hindu lands within 100 years of Islam’s founding is termed "da’wa-jihad." Much of that empire still stands under the Islamic culture forced on the conquered cultures. Islam considers itself to be supremacist and must be victorious over all other religions and cultures. Islam spreads first by invitation, "Aslim Taslam," which means "Submit and Be at Peace." If that isn't effective then conquest by the sword is followed by dhimmitude, second-class citizenry, including no right for the Dhimmi to defend themselves. If Islam does not succeed in becoming the world’s only true religion, Muslims will not have fulfilled Allah’s Quranic commands to proselytize Islam throughout the world through da'wa and Jihad, violently or nonviolently. This is accomplished with 100% impunity from Allah, as per the Qur’an. Christianity is a proselytizing religion, but Christianity does not permit the use of violence to proselytize, whereas it is inherent in Islam. Muslims quote the Qur’an saying, “There is no compulsion in religion,” but that statement is superseded and abrogated by later statements in the Qur’an that endorse violent compulsion in the spread of Islam. It is precisely Sharia teaching about Jihad, the killing of apostates in line with Ridda blasphemy laws as well as the definition of democracy as blasphemy, that raise the most profound concerns. These violations of our Bill of Rights are what makes Sharia incompatible with a representative free democracy. Sharia law and its compelling actions originate from the Qur'an and other Islamic doctrine. Sharia is viewed by Muslim authorities as central to a Muslim's existence. Not all of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims wish to live under Sharia, but a significant minority uses guns, violence, and savagery to enforce Sharia and dictate ummah behavior. Muslim moderates are too weak to do anything other than delude themselves. This holds no doctrinal currency. Where Islam is strong, dissent is silenced by Ridda, blasphemy laws. Islam can never be reformed by political correctness in America and if ever reformed, it must happen in Mecca, Medina, Qum, and Al-Azhar in Egypt, as well as on the battlefield where the neck-cutters are strongest. The United States of America was founded primarily upon Judeo-Christian culture and values, which birthed our Constitution and our Bill of Rights as a guide to limit governance. It represents our unalienable rights and natural law as articulated in the Old and New Testaments. The Judeo-Christian tradition holds all people are fundamentally equal, with each life having transcendent value as a gift from God. Either we Americans move ahead on a delusional and suicidal path of adopting ideologies inimical to our historical values and laws in order to avoid confrontation, or we abandon political correctness and ignorance about Islam and Sharia and confront Islamic law as adults. We Americans must exhibit fortitude and say to Islam, and its millions of ignorant, delusional, useful idiot apologists, that Islam represents an existentially deadly Clash of Civilizations, opposing the U.S. constitution and Judeo-Christianity along with Hinduism and all non-Islamic cultures. We cannot live with that threat without legislating against Sharia and making it 100% clear that the Constitution of the United States of America is the law of our land.
