Conservatives don’t have to make up liberal insanity. Everyone is born a liberal, because everyone is born ignorant of how the world works. Liberalism is a lifelong debilitating disease and the only cure for it is conservatism. If young, ignorant liberals are not educated in morality and the truth then they will suffer their entire lives wallowing in a cesspool of ignorance being fooled by those who would make of them useful idiots. If you listen to leftists rant and rave about repealing the debacle that is the ObamaCare health insurance bill that was designed to destroy the health insurance industry and put government in the driver’s seat, you would think you were hearing stories of Hitler. Democrats, who have wiped out fifty million babies in the womb, say Republicans want to kill your children. They are saying that employers want their employees to die without healthcare. Everything the leftwing liberal Democratic socialists do is designed to dupe the ignorant into giving up their wealth and their liberty and give all power to the Democrats to control their lives. The Left is for tyranny and the Right is for liberty. There are no far right Nazis and far left Communists with centrists full of wisdom. There is only right and wrong! When a leftist tells you that Republicans want to drink dirty water and breath dirty air, when he says Republicans want to steal their employees’ health insurance so they die, when they say they want grandma kicked out into the streets and to let children starve to death, when they say Republicans want to make rape a “pre-existing condition,” and when they tell you conservatives don’t care if they kill the planet, ask them, “WTF is wrong with your brain?” Anyone who believes such things is freaking insane! That is the defining characteristic of liberalism. Insanity is doing the same stupid thing over and over and expecting a different result. Believing that those who tell you to grow up and be responsible for yourself rather than be a parasitic burden on society are the ones trying to destroy you is as stupid as it gets.

The media increasingly act not so such as disseminators of information but as a privileged and separate caste, determined to shape opinion to a certain set of conclusions. When you pick up a great newspaper like the New York Times, it is sometimes shocking how openly partisan the coverage tends to be. When President Donald Trump unveiled his new tax plan, the headline was not about the proposal per se, but rather how it would serve the wealthy. This may indeed be the case, but such an approach would traditionally be the role of the editorial pages, not the Page 1 headline writers. According to a September Gallup poll, confidence in the media stands at a historic low of 32%, down from 55% in 1999. Alienating customers is not good business, especially for an industry that has seen close to 40% of its jobs disappear over the past 20 years. Some of the problems, of course, reflect other issues, most notably the rise of online media and the fact that barely 5% of Americans aged 18 to 29 get their news from print newspapers. Cable and network news are not doing much better; their audience, notes a March 2014 Pew Research Center report, is now smaller than it was in 2007. The public’s growing disdain allows Trump to give the media a “big, fat, failing grade” as one of his essential talking points. His no-show at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner plays well with a large part of the population that feels alienated from the mainstream media. The Trump approach decries the media as “enemies of the people,” an approach more Stalinesque than Reaganesque. Trump’s being fast and loose with the facts remains fair game, but does not excuse the media becoming a willing tool of progressive Democrats. Some issues, like transgender issues, anything relating to immigration, particularly climate change or undocumented aliens are covered with a one-sided stridency characteristic of Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Informing the public used to be their job, leaving analysis and opinion to the pundits on the inside pages. This shift in the media role has roots in both class and geography. Journalism used to be a “craft,” rather than a credentialed profession. Today’s mainstream media reflects the values of our increasingly doctrinally progressive academic institutions. Some 96% of media outlet political donations went to Hillary Clinton. Nate Silver’s concept of a “liberal media bubble” reflects the concentration of media in fewer places and the related collapse of local journalism. To many in newsrooms, the Trump constituency seems to them to be people from another, inhospitable planet. Neither geographic concentration nor unanimity are good for journalism. Media is not so much a business in itself but a means with which to project their globalist and socially liberal world views.

It has been six months since the upset election of Donald Trump as President, and one person who has not gotten over Trump’s victory is his opponent, Hillary Clinton. In the days before the election, almost every pollster and commentator predicted a Clinton victory, so she was overconfident and believed the media spin. Incredibly, she was outperformed by a political novice, who won 306 electoral votes in 31 states, an unexpected landslide. Hillary Clinton prefers fantasy to the harsh political reality of her disastrous campaign. It is quite convenient for Hillary to blame everyone else but herself. Hillary claimed that Comey’s letter and WikiLeaks disclosures were critical factors that “raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off," and for good measure, she also blamed misogyny, using the sexism card once again. Of course, this is pure nonsense, a web of fantasy woven by a sore loser. Comey could have recommended an indictment of Clinton, but he refused to pursue charges, even though he castigated her for “extremely careless” handling of top secret email communications. The WikiLeaks disclosures exposed the Clinton campaign using improper influence with the Democrat National Committee and the media to steal the party’s nomination away from Senator Bernie Sanders. Without such unfair advantages, Clinton may have lost the nomination to a 74-year old socialist, an amazing situation for a candidate with so many advantages, including having a former President as a husband. In her imaginary world of victimhood, Clinton now wants to galvanize opposition to Donald Trump. Ironically, many of the left-wing activists challenging the President are supporters of Bernie Sanders and not Hillary Clinton. They realize how horrible a candidate Hillary Clinton was in both of her losing presidential campaigns, 2008 and 2016. Notwithstanding her rhetoric and blame shifting, Clinton did not lose because of outside influences; she lost because she was a horrible candidate with an unpleasant personality. She does not exude warmth or empathy like her husband, in fact, she has a reputation for being the “Queen of Mean.” It is not surprising that during her race against Donald Trump, she did not connect with the millions of average Americans who struggled during the Obama years. These voters in the Rust Belt and other areas of the country were looking for a champion and they found that in the candidacy of Donald Trump, not Hillary Clinton. Clinton spent over $1.2 billion in the general election, outspending Trump 2-1. Even though she possessed this incredible paid media advantage and the so-called objective news media were totally behind her, Clinton still lost to her underdog opponent. Democrats continue to obsess over a supposed Russian-Trump connection. It is obvious that Hillary and her party will do almost anything rather than examine their own failings. Instead of looking in the mirror, they prefer focusing on a make-believe world of conspirators and political opponents plotting to deny their candidate her long overdue victory. While some Americans might like to believe this fairy tale, most prefer reality, because in the real world, the only person to blame for the Democrat Party’s embarrassing loss is Hillary Clinton.

Almost every promise made eight years ago about ObamaCare turned out to be a falsehood. You couldn’t keep your insurance plan, doctor or provider in many cases; it didn’t save $2,500 per family (more like $2,500 more); it didn’t lead to expanded patient choice; and the tax increases badly hurt the economy and jobs market, and the insurance market really have entered a death spiral that if left unfixed will blow-up the entire insurance market. The fundamental lie of ObamaCare is revealed in the law’s title: The Affordable Care Act. No one can say that it has made healthcare more “affordable,” except the millions whom we gave coverage to for free. For millions of others, premiums skyrocketed by almost 25% last year, and as more insurers flee the market, those cost hikes are the tip of spear. The House Republican bill is far from perfect and still leaves far too much of the ObamaCare infrastructure in place. Eventually the increased competition from allowing Americans to buy out of state health plans should bend costs down, but that could take a while given the collapse of the insurance market the GOP inherited. The advantages of this bill are significant. Letting states pick the so-called ObamaCare “essential benefits” formula has to lower costs. The GOP plan will allow young people to buy stripped down catastrophic coverage plans at very low premium costs. It will allow Americans to check off the box on their insurance forms on the types of services they want to have covered. Young people will no longer have to underwrite the costs of old people. By moving those with pre-existing conditions out of the insurance pool (but providing them with direct subsidies), costs for the rest of us will fall and we will have a real functioning insurance market. At least six major anti-growth tax hikes go away, including the surtax on capital gains and dividend income, the foolhardy medical devices tax, the tax on new life-saving drugs and vaccines, and the tax on health plans. Moving toward a block grant system for Medicaid will give states less money over time, but will allow the states the flexibility to devise their own quality programs at lower costs. If states realize they are wasting their own healthcare dollars, rather than Uncle Sam’s, they will be much more conscientious about controlling costs. This block grant formula has worked in states like Rhode Island and Indiana to sweat out costs and improve services. Medicaid is blowing up the federal budget and state budgets at the same time, so its costs have to be controlled before the system collapses. Eventually, we need to surgically remove government interference in the healthcare market wherever possible and move back to a genuine doctor-patient relationship. The free enterprise system lowers costs and improves service in every other sector of the economy, but not in medicine, which is so important. Liberals like Bernie Sanders are promoting the idea of moving in the opposite direction: a federally administered insurance and health delivery market. This system has already been tried in the Veterans Administration healthcare system with patients dying while they wait for care or from the improper care they receive in the government hospitals. For now we can say goodbye to ObamaCare, but let’s hope this isn’t too little too late.
(“TrumpCare is the cure fixing the disaster of ObamaCare” by Stephen Moore dated May 8, 2017 published by The Hill at http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/healthcare/332337-trumpcare-will-fix-eight-years-of-failed-obamacare-promises )
Democrats lied to Americans to get ObamaCare passed, and they’re still lying about it today. Only worse, because now their whoppers are aimed at keeping Republicans from cleaning up the rock-hard mess Democrats made of the health insurance market. The current big lie is that the GOP’s ObamaCare fix, as passed by the House, would strip millions of America’s most vulnerable citizens of health insurance and drive up premiums for those who manage to keep coverage. ObamaCare is already doing that, thanks to the economic naivety of the Democrats who crafted the law. In 11 states last year, average premiums rose by 40% or more. ObamaCare exchanges across the country are in crisis because insurers are bailing out, burned by the unfulfilled promises of the Affordable Care Act. Unchecked Medicaid expansion is ravaging state budgets. Deductibles and co-pays are so high they’ve made insurance policies useless for much of the middle class. Money that might have fattened paychecks is being diverted by employers into rapidly rising health insurance premiums. Democrats and their media chorus are pushing the canard that heartless Republicans are ending protection for the sickest Americans, including those with pre-existing conditions, but the GOP plan doesn’t do that. Mandates remain in place for guaranteed coverage, and for controlling premium prices for those most at risk. It does allow states to seek waivers if they believe they can craft better plans for less money, but only if they agree to tap into a $100 billion high-risk pool. That pool will shift the burden of subsidizing the sickest policyholders from their healthier neighbors to the federal government, which promises to both lower premiums and end the unsavory practice of insurers filtering out the costliest customers with onerous co-pays and deductibles. Democrats, on the other hand, offer nothing than a demand to “spend more money.” Cost of ObamaCare to federal taxpayers rose to $110 billion in 2016. President Obama sold ObamaCare on the promise that it would provide coverage to the 45 million, or 15%, of Americans who lacked it in 2009, but wasn’t even close. Seven years later, 28.4 million people, or roughly 10% of the population, remain uninsured, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. So ObamaCare upended the insurance market for all Americans, and sharply drove up their health care costs, to reduce the number of uninsured by 5%, or just under 17 million people. We could have left the market alone and given all of the uninsured vouchers for private plans and produced a better outcome. Voters are sick and tired of being lied to. The American people just want what they were promised: Affordable, effective health insurance, so Republicans must tune out the hysteria and give it to them.

American journalists have an exalted view of themselves, fancying themselves an immaculate priesthood that must be admired, obeyed and worshipped. They are constantly telling themselves that they are impartial and unbiased, and that they are pure of heart. They also become visibly upset when they are laughed at by the public. Even though their philosophy is to criticize and destroy lives, they become sarcastic, or furious, or vicious if anyone in authority criticizes them. The fact of the matter is that most journalists in the United States and Western Europe are essentially clones: they think alike, they talk alike, they have the same politics, they cover the same stories, they spike the same stories, they vote the same way, they have the same viewpoints, they suppress dissenting viewpoints and facts, they adopt a mob mentality when they go into one of their periodic fits of lynch journalism and character assassination, and they viciously persecute and purge any journalist who does not conform to this mold, relegating the heretics either to oblivion or, just as bad, to the very fringes of the journalistic profession. American journalists have a propensity to promote international military crusades. The first occurrence was in 1898 when the American media precipitated the Spanish-American War. The Spaniards in Cuba were unquestionably extremely and stupidly autocratic, rigid, and punitive. The American journalists focused and at times exaggerated the Spaniards’ cruelty in newspaper stories on an almost daily basis (i.e., fake news) until Americans felt that they had to intervene to end the cruelty and the vestigial existence of colonialism. Two decades later, America entered a world war which it really had no direct stake in, partly due to the sinking of the Lusitania, as American journalists were fed on British propaganda over German soldiers boiling babies to make oil, raping nuns in churches, and the Zimmerman telegram. This tactic was repeated in the Second World War. America again really had no personal reason to enter that war. Even though the American public was dead-set against entering that destructive war, FDR engaged in an undeclared naval war with Germany through an antisubmarine campaign and by instituting Lend Lease to Britain. Radio and print journalists were openly hostile to Germany and were pro-British. Beginning in the late 1960s, with the Vietnam War and on to the subsequent two decades, American journalists reversed their usual habit and agitated against any military involvement to topple communist governments or to stop communist insurgents. The reason for this reversal was because many of them had embraced Marxism and still do. The atrocities in Lebanon’s civil war during the 1980s had journalists crying that “something needs to be done.” Later, the anarchy in Somalia elicited a similar response (“while the world watches and does nothing”), followed by the two wars in Iraq. This past year, in Syria (“a humanitarian crisis,” “while the world does nothing”) journalists’ efforts to get America bogged down in yet another Middle Eastern quagmire resulted only in a half-hearted effort at military action, inhibited no doubt by acknowledging that the American government had no idea what was really going on in the area. Hand in hand with the Syrian debacle is the present increasing hysterical anti-Russian rhetoric by the journalistic clones who insist on a new Cold War. The hysteria can often be heard in their radio and television discussions and reportage. Throughout, they hypocritically decry “the loss of American leadership,” i.e., sticking our noses where it doesn’t belong. It could be argued that one way for American Presidents to deal with the clones agitating to militarily intervene in other countries is to simply ignore them. It also ignores the fact that congressmen will likewise also be brainwashed by the media, or be hounded by journalists, and they, in turn, will approach the President, or pass symbolic legislation, so a different, permanent, solution is needed. Whatever the solution is, keep in mind that it is the mainstream media that is real enemy.

Thousands of years after the Roman Empire fell, people are still speculating about how such a powerful empire became too feeble to defend itself. There are all sorts of theories, but nobody really knows. However, if American falls, historians won’t have to speculate because the problems that are destroying our country are right there for anyone to see. Future generations will point to it when they’re trying to figure out where we went wrong:
· Unsustainable Debt: By 2020, projections indicate that we’d need 20% of the GDP of the ENTIRE PLANET just to finance our debt, which will continue to increase at a rapid pace.
· Enormous Centralized Government: Our government has become so massive that lawmakers don’t even read the bills they pass any more, trivial changes to regulations made by unelected bureaucrats can drive productive businesses into bankruptcy and perhaps worst of all, 49% of the public gets benefits.
· An Overly-Progressive Income Tax Code: There are a lot of ramifications to almost half of all Americans paying no income taxes and few of them are good. It’s a lot harder to go from “rags to riches” when the government starts looting you like a Somali pirate the moment you make any real income.
· Moral Decay: America is being decimated by a profound moral crisis. It’s no coincidence that America has the largest prison population in the world, drug use is rampant, 41% of births are out-of-wedlock and mass murders have become all too common in a Christian nation that has turned its back on God.
· Backward Immigration Policies: When America is still considered the most desirable place to live on the planet, immigration should be a huge boon to the country. Instead of selecting the cream of the crop, the rich, the geniuses, the skilled, and people who can add to our tax base, we take pretty much anybody who has a relative here or who claims that he’d be in danger in his home. In 2010, 36% of immigrant-headed households receive benefits from at least one welfare program, compared to just 23% of households headed by U.S. natives. Among households with children, immigrant welfare households outnumbered non-immigrants by a similarly wide margin: 57% to 40%. On top of all this, instead of encouraging immigrants to adapt to this most successful culture in recorded human history, they’re encouraged to nurse grievances, despise their own adopted home country and cling to the cultures of the failed nations from which they’ve come.
These are problems that will not go away on their own. Unless America solves these issues soon, this country may be destined for the trash heap of history.
