The boiled frog theory: If you drop a frog in boiling water he will leap right out, but if you slowly heat the water he will be content until it's too late to get out.  We have been living in a progressive frog boil.  Long before Barack Obama’s “fundamental transformation”, we were moving in a progressive arc.  Obama’s presidency turned up the heat.  The acceleration of progressive thought moved from polite nudges, to in your face dictums.  We were in a stupor, floating in our own complacency, constantly being asked (told) to “evolve” in our thinking, to adopt the progressive worldview as being settled social science.  With Donald Trump’s campaign and subsequent defeat of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, a paradigm shift occurred.  We’re waking from our stupor and have an opportunity to alter the arc of history.  They realize how close we were to boil, and subsequent civilizational death.  We, and the left, find ourselves with a new-found awareness of our representative circumstances.  We realize that that tingling feeling was not pleasure, but our senses trying to alert us to the fact that we were losing sensation.  The left realized that their only recourse was either watch us abandon the pot, or for them to turn up the heat.  This is why we see the resulting episodes of Trump Derangement Syndrome, the left frantically trying to force us back into the pot.  The left are intent on destroying America in order to advance “their globalist worldview. They are rapidly stoking the fire, by disrupting civil society.  They are engaged in a multifaceted attack on our Constitution, our freedoms, or economic well-being, and most pertinently, our culture.  Collectivism affords the left an advantage, devious, well-funded masters with tentacles entrenched throughout the “deep state” a propaganda machine that has abandoned truth for Leftist messaging, and a myriad band of useful Idiot lemmings, only-too-happy to march to the tune of their statist masters.  Current events reflect on how far down the progressive road we’ve travelled.  Donald Trump may have been the only candidate, and now president willing to stand in the fire and fight back against our leftist foes.  Make no mistake, we are in a fight.  For far too long we have actively sought to coexist with our leftist brethren, seemingly content to give up ground with the expectation that peace could come, if only we were willing to “compromise.”  What Donald Trump understands is that “compromise” to the left means coming around to their viewpoint.  It is high-time that we wake from our warm water stupor, jump out of the pot, stand in the fire with our duly-elected president, and fight back against the progressive globalist agenda.

Congressional testimony by former FBI Director James Comey revealed much of what the media got wrong about President Trump and the Russia investigation.  The public learned that Trump himself, as he had indicated, was not under investigation, that he had every right to fire an FBI director he did not like, and that Comey presented no evidence that Trump engaged in obstruction of justice or committed an impeachable offense.  In many ways, the frenzy about Trump and Russia says a lot more about media hostility toward Trump than it does about Trump's actions.  The mainstream media has always exhibited rampant bias against right-of-center political figures.  In the coverage of Trump, that bias has turned into all-out hysteria and insidious snickering.  While overt media hostility is outrageous, reporting laced with insidious bias is much more misleading and dangerous.  Much of the mainstream media's bias is more subtle, and much more constant.  On a daily basis, reporters, news anchors and fact checkers will spit out personal political opinions, present them as facts (or even gospel) and lambast Trump and his defenders as liars, bigots or otherwise deplorable people.  Toward that end, the dishonest mainstream media has all but declared Trump an existential threat to the free press and the First Amendment.  Not surprisingly, both overt and insidious media bias has consequences.  During Trump's first 100 days, major news outlets provided him coverage that was 80% negative.  Never shy to engage in bombast and hyperbole, Trump usually responds by lumping all negative stories about him together as unfair, and has labeled big liberal news outlets as #FakeNews and the enemy of the people.  Lazy, sloppy and reprehensible coverage regularly characterizes the mainstream media's reporting about conservatives and Republicans.  Time and again, self-styled reputable publications will not hesitate to smear, obfuscate, grandstand and outright lie, nall the while insisting that they are the paragon of journalistic integrity.  When Trump came along to trample on their delusions, they naturally took offense, and went to war against him.  Their wall-to-wall coverage declaring that Trump had committed crimes with respect to the Russia investigation is a fine example of their attempt at revenge.  For mainstream media journalists who proclaim themselves truth seekers, the truth is that White House chief strategist Steve Bannon had great advice for them: "The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while."

Society’s loudest screechers, all those with any access to the mainstream media’s bullying bullhorn have become lost in unhinged hatred.  They now hate for the sake of hatred.  The visceral hatred of the MSM-supported Lib-Left progressives has all the characteristics of an ongoing, over the top family feud, a world-wide one.  Few remember how they got to be so irrationally unhinged.  No one knows why they are so angry, they just are.  They cluster in the darkest of corners, waiting for America to implode through the takedown of its duly elected 45th president having convinced themselves impeachment will be happening any day now.  It’s the “deplorables” and not the Russians who stole the election from Hillary Clinton. the mere thought of which has her reaching for the Chardonnay as she lives out her life in political exile.  No wonder she has sunk so deep into frustration and embitterment.  It’s not every day you have a director of the FBI seemingly undermining the president of the US, before he was elected President.  Eight months later, former FBI Director James Comey outed himself as the Reality Winner of the Leaker Industry.  Reality Winner only wanted to burn the White House down.  Comey and his proxy Robert Mueller only wanted to destabilize President Trump and thus America.  Comey walks away from his congressional hearing with a $10 million book deal.  Obama, who got away with fundamentally transforming a country that was always much better off without him, scored a $65 million book deal.  We shouldn’t be reading the books of Comey and Obama but most gratefully closing the book on them and hoping any honest authorities left will book them for high crimes against America.  Now that the masses can see the Russian/Trump conspiracy for the hoax that it is, President Trump is now being accused of winning the November election by fake Twitter bots.  The 63 million who voted for Trump were swayed by a social media limited to 140 characters!  They had them believing in all those fake polls that Hillary would win during the 2016 election.  It was data crunchers that helped Obama win reelection in 2012.  According to the TwitterAudit 42% of Trump’s Twitter followers are fake.  Hillary’s followers are 52% fake.  With the Russia / Trump collusion conspiracy now an epic fail, the lib-left are trying to ban Trump from Twitter use.  With 95% of the MSM against him, Twitter is hisb most effective way of getting his message to the masses.  Meanwhile the hating for the sake of hatred will explore all avenues looking for ways to impeach Trump, while all those who voted him in and those who approve of what he’s doing to pull America out of the swamp are praying daily: God protect Donald Trump and all members of his family.

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “liberal” as being “not opposed to new ideas or ways of behaving that are not traditional or widely accepted.”  To most, Leftists and liberals used to mean the same thing: the terminology was simple- left-wingers are liberal, right-wingers are conservative.  Liberals are open to new trends in society, while conservatives are more comfortable with tradition.  But nowadays, Leftists have become a rigid ideology of its own, because no more are they liberal in the traditional sense, which boils down to “live and let live.”  Instead, Liberals believe that anyone that doesn’t agree with hard Leftist ideology is evil and must be excommunicated.  The Leftist will do everything in his or her power to destroy anyone who doesn’t subscribe to the ideology, and the main target of that destruction is anyone on the political Right, the conservative.  Another major enemy of the Left is Christianity.  There are many examples of Leftists trying to destroy Christians, from the many cases of suing Christians not wanting to bake cakes for gay weddings to jailing County Clerk Kim Davis in Kentucky not wanting to sign off on a gay marriage because of their religious beliefs.  Another example occurred at the Senate confirmation hearing for Russell Vought, a religious Christian, to become the deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.  Senator Bernie Sanders, a secular Socialist, harshly questioned Vought’s qualifications to hold public office because of his Christian beliefs.  This is pure Leftist bigotry, a far cry from the “liberalism” they claim to encompass.  Another example concerns Gays for Trump, who had their float rejected by the Charlotte Pride parade, specifically because they don’t support the Left, which the gay community generally does.  There are many occasions of Leftist hypocrisy, where they openly shun the open-mindedness they pretend to believe in.  It is worth noting that conservatives are generally open to any type of lifestyle, as long as it doesn’t take away another’s rights and that the people with those lifestyles share the same worldview and love their country.  Whether you are black or white, Christian, Jew or Muslim, gay or straight, no one on the Right cares.  The conservative movement is an accepting one with a tolerant worldview.  This is the true meaning of the word “liberalism,” which i you use the word in its exact definition, is conservatism. The sooner we understand that, the sooner society will see the Left for what it truly is—a totalitarian mob who will stop at nothing to rule over society with an iron fist.

(“Despite Common Misconception, ‘Leftism’ and ‘Liberalism’ Are Not Synonymous” by Jeremy Frankel dated June 12, 2017 published by iPatriot at http://ipatriot.com/despite-common-misconception-leftism-liberalism-not-synonymous/ )

The United States is currently the world's oldest democracy.  But America is no more immune from collapse than were some of history's most stable and impressive consensual governments.  The United States is dividing as rarely before.  Half the country, mostly liberal America, is concentrated in 146 of the nation's more than 3,000 counties, in an area that collectively represents less than 10% of the U.S. land mass.  The other half, the conservative Red states of the interior of America, is geographically, culturally, economically, politically and socially at odds with Blue-state America, which resides mostly on the two coasts.  The two Americas watch different news, read very different books, listen to different music and watch different television shows.  Increasingly, they now live lives according to two widely different traditions.  Barack Obama was elected President after compiling the most left-wing voting record in the U.S. Senate.  His antidote, Donald Trump, was elected largely on the premise that traditional Republicans were hardly conservative.  Red America and Blue America are spiraling into divisions approaching those of 1860, or of the nihilistic hippie/straight divide of 1968.  More than 40 million foreign-born immigrants currently reside in the U.S., the highest number in the nation's history.  Yet widely unchecked immigration comes at a time when the country has lost confidence in its prior successful adherence to melting-pot assimilation and integration.  The ultimate result is a fragmenting of society into tribal cliques that vie for power, careers and influence on the basis of ethnic solidarity rather than shared American-ness.  History is not very kind to multicultural chaos, as opposed to a multiracial society united by a single national culture.  Either the United States will return to a shared single language and allegiance to a common and singular culture, or it will eventually descend into clannish violence.  We fought a Civil War that cost more than 600,000 lives in part to uphold the idea that individual states could not override the federal government.  Yet sanctuary cities declare that they can freely nullify federal immigration law.  States such as California vow that they will ignore Washington and work directly with foreign nations to promote their own policies on global warming.  The national debt has almost doubled over the last eight years and at nearly $20 trillion is unsustainable.  Entitlement spending rose even as new taxes increased.  The have-nots claim the haves make far too much money; the haves retort that they pay most of the income taxes while nearly half the country pays nothing.  Most Americans agree that the present levels of borrowing and spending cannot continue.  But many believe that the tough medicine to cure the disease of chronic annual deficits and mounting debt is unacceptable.  America's infrastructure and military are vastly underfunded, even though some voters want more subsidies for themselves and apparently others to pay for them.  America's once-preeminent colleges and universities are fatally compromised. Universities charge far too much, resist reform, expect exemption from accountability, and assume their students must take on huge amounts of debt.  Yet campuses can't guarantee that their graduates are competently educated or that they will find jobs.  Illiberal attempts to end free speech, to sanction racial and gender segregation, and to attack rather than argue with opponents are disguised by euphemisms such as "safe spaces," "trigger warnings" and various -isms and -ologies.  Behind the guise of campus activism and non-negotiable demands is the reality that too many students simply are unprepared to do their assigned work and seek exemption through protests in lieu of hard studying.  America barely survived the Civil War of 1861-65, the Great Depression of 1929-39, and the rioting and protests of the 1960s.  Today's growing divides are additionally supercharged by instant internet and social media communications, 24/7 cable news, partisan media and the denigration of America's past traditions.  All Americans need to take a deep breath, step back and rein in their anger, and find more ways to connect rather than divide themselves.  They should assume their opponents are not all sinners, and that their supporters are not all saints, but things are bad now and our own history suggests that if we are not careful, they can get even worse.
