President Barack Obama has done and continues to do major damage to America, and the only question is whether this can ever be undone? This damage is equally true domestically and internationally. Domestically, his policies have gravely impacted the American economy. He has overseen the weakest recovery from a recession in modern American history. He has mired the country in unprecedented levels of debt: about $6.5 trillion dollars in five years (this after calling his predecessor "unpatriotic" for adding nearly $5 trillion in eight years). Obama has fashioned a country in which more Americans now receive government aid -- means-tested, let alone non-means tested -- than work full-time. He has no method of paying for this debt other than printing more money, thereby surreptitiously taxing everyone through inflation, including the poor he claims to be helping, and cheapening the dollar to the point that some countries are talking another reserve currency, and saddling the next generations with enormous debts. With his 2,500-page Affordable Care Act, he has made it impossible for hundreds of thousands, soon millions, of Americans to keep their individual or employee-sponsored group health insurance; he has stymied American medical innovation with an utterly destructive tax on medical devices; and he has caused hundreds of thousands of workers to lose full-time jobs because of the health care costs imposed by ObamaCare on employers. His Internal Revenue Service used its unparalleled power to stymie political dissent. No one has been held accountable. His ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were murdered by terrorists in Benghazi, Libya. No one has been blamed. The only blame the Obama administration has leveled was on a video maker in California who had nothing to do with the assault. In this President's White House, the buck stops nowhere. Among Presidents in modern American history, he has also been a uniquely divisive force. It began with his forcing Obamacare through Congress - the only major legislation in American history to be passed with no votes from the opposition party. Though he has had a unique opportunity to do so, he has not only not helped heal racial tensions, he has exacerbated them. His intrusions into the Trayvon Martin affair ("If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon") and into the confrontation between a white police officer and a black Harvard professor (the police "acted stupidly") were unwarranted, irresponsible, demagogic and, most of all, divisive. He has also divided the country by economic class, using classic Marxist language against "the rich" and "corporate profits." Regarding America in the world, he has been, if possible, even more damaging. The United States is at its weakest, has fewer allies, and has less military and diplomatic influence than at any time since before World War I. One wonders if there is a remaining ally nation that trusts him, and worse, no American enemy fears him. If you are a free movement (the democratic Iranian and Syrian oppositions) or a free country (Israel), you have little or no reason to believe that you have a steadfast ally in the United States. Even non-democratic allies no longer trust America. Barack Obama has alienated our most important and longest standing Arab allies, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Both the anti-Muslim Brotherhood and the anti-Iran Arab states have lost respect for him. His complete withdrawal of American troops from Iraq has left that country with weekly bloodbaths. Virtually nothing Barack Obama has done has left America or the world better since he became president. Nearly everything he has touched has been made worse. Obama did promise before the 2008 election that "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America," and that is the one promise he has kept but does he mean transform or really mean dismantle?

Every day, more people who have been screaming their hatred for those who predicted all we see coming true are admitting what we have known all along. The President is incapable of telling a truth, and what conservatives have been predicting for three years about ObamaCare has been entirely correct. Indeed, we haven't seen anything close to the worst of what is to come, since the system hasn't even begun to function in its utmost state of disarray and confusion. We've seen a website and estimates of premium and deductible figures which have been panic-inducing all on their own. There is not one single fact about this monstrosity that has been truly presented by the President, and his law, its destruction of lives and fortunes, and the pattern of fraud that have accompanied it rest solely and squarely on the Democrat Party. The left has fought the factual arguments of their opponents with screaming accusations, smears, slanders, and character assassination, with the hysterical label of "racist" trumping all others. It has become reflexive, and thus almost meaningless in its lack of substance. The finger pointing has been calculated and malicious, and it has been sadly effective with the indoctrinated. Many on the left actually believe that reasoned, factual opposition to policies founded on lies is motivated by racism, rather than what such policies have done and are doing to those who have the courage to speak out against them. Conservatives embraced Dr. King's message from the outset, at the same time that liberals were setting up a grievance system designed to pollute and exploit it. Conservatives care about policies, not skin color. Opposition to ObamaCare was never about bigotry or hatred: it was about logic, and foresight, and reaching self-evident conclusions: and it was about the truth. For those on the left who seem befuddled by the train wreck that is ObamaCare, perhaps some introspection is in order. The political lynching of conservatives for the last five years has been an unmitigated lie, because everything conservatives predicted is coming to pass and every truth they told is playing out publicly. So, can we finally stop pretending that the left has a positive plan for the United States? Can we stop pretending that the President meant to do anything other than destroy a system he has hated since his socialist-influenced youth? Can we dispense with the unhinged rants about dog whistles and face up to the fact that conservatives have been right about this all along? Can we finally openly discuss that the left's own hatred and bigotry are largely to blame for where we are now, not just regarding ObamaCare? They have protected, helped and worshiped an illusion, with pure malice toward those who have loved and fought for this country, and are entirely complicit in the damage now being done to every fiber of our nation. For decades, every time we have faced serious issues as a country, the outcome has had more to do with liberals' hatred of their opponents and traditional American values than with solving problems constructively. Can we finally stop pretending that they are not also lying to us about everything else? Can we stop pretending they are not lying to us about guns, and abortion, and voter fraud, and voter ID laws, and taxes, and the economy, and the environment, and education, and energy, and job creation, and national security, and international relations, and Islam, and their assault on Christianity, and amnesty, and entitlements, and stimulus, and recovery, and Fast and Furious, and Benghazi, and the IRS scandal, and a war on women, and our borders, and domestic surveillance, and weakening us militarily, and their supposed loyalty as Americans, and their phony patriotism, and American Exceptionalism, and our history, and our national character, and the historical good our country has done, and what they really have planned for us, and what we will achieve when we are out from under the heel of burgeoning socialism and despotism? Can we finally stop pretending that we are a racist country? Can we stop pretending that the American left is not irrationally bound and determined to remake our country into a cesspool of misery and failure allegedly out of some demented sense of fairness, to be ruled over by those who seek only to control, rather than improve the lot of the people they are supposed to raise up? We cannot emerge from this darkness and achieve our full potential as a nation until we stop pretending that everything we are told by the left is not a lie.

The battered wife syndrome is a well-known psychological malady in which an abused partner stays with her abuser, thinking things would be worse without him, but for some victims, there finally comes a time when they have had enough and they face the reality that this man is not good for them, and that is where Obama is today! He lies to them. He hurts them. Eventually, even his sweet talk falls on deaf ears. After the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal, after the Benghazi disaster, after the IRS was used as an instrument of political intimidation, after the ObamaCare rollout debacle, the President assured us that he would "get to the bottom of this" and "hold people accountable." He comfortably played the role that was required at the time. Then he endlessly stonewalled, held no high level officials accountable, and eventually said it was time to move past these "phony scandals." Scandals that he acted very concerned about had morphed into completely unimportant distractions. His concern was an act, a lie. He does not need an investigation to know what he did on the night of September 11, 2012. He knows what orders he made and what orders he withheld. He knows what he discussed with Hillary Clinton in their 10 PM conversation. He knows why she used the video alibi immediately after the call. Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were still fighting for their lives at the time of the call. He knows perfectly well that the IRS targeting of conservative was a partisan operation. He knows White House officials were involved in the operation and the cover-up. There comes a point where abused people just get tired of the obvious lies. That may even be true of some in the mainstream media, a group deeply in love with Obama. The media are now doing some honest reporting about the ObamaCare rollout disaster. Another group that has been in love with Obama is the black community, but blacks have been disproportionately harmed by Obama's policies. PBS host, Tavis Smiley, recently admitted the truth, saying, "The data is going to indicate, sadly, that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category." The battered public is tired of the lies and tired of the economic destruction. It is becoming clear that their man is a liar unworthy of their trust. This is a very tough transition for people who thought they were in love and had high hopes for the relationship. The implementation of ObamaCare is going to hurt a huge number of people. For many, it will be the end of the romance. If a significant number of who used to love Obama become immune to his lies, then there is hope for the future.

Only now are we seeing some cracks in the protective shield surrounding President Obama, and then only after the abuse of reporters' privacy has been threatened. Mainstream journalists have not scrutinized his controversial policies, nor have they held him accountable for questionable actions that have caused outrage among fair-minded critics and produced irreparable harm to the nation. Some facts are irrefutable, but the President has, by and large, deflected all blame and few in the media have dared question his policies and actions. Investor's Business Daily reports that we are becoming a welfare state. The Census Department reported this week that almost half (49%) of Americans (151 million) are on federal aid. The U.S. has spent nearly $4 trillion ($3.7) on welfare over the past five years. Further, more than 70% of all federal spending goes to assistance programs, and the CBO projects that welfare spending will rise 80% over the next decade. Even with all that spending, though, 46.5 million Americans live in poverty and nearly half of all Americans pay absolutely no federal income tax. It doesn't take an economics genius to realize that with the nation's debt at $17 trillion and with more than $50 trillion in unfunded liabilities, we are in deep economic trouble. In the face of such dire statistics, it is instructive to review the President's economic performance to date. President Obama has been late in turning in a budget to Congress in four of the past five years. The President's signature legislation, his legacy, is ObamaCare. This massive health insurance legislation, taking over one-sixth of the American economy, was forced on the nation through a straight party-line vote. The President has engaged in a pattern of lying to the American public. He has often repeated the ObamaCare mantra, "We will keep this promise to the American people. If you like your doctor you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your healthcare plan, you will be able to keep your healthcare plan. Period." He added, "Nothing in our plan requires you to change what you have." Now, NBC News informs Americans that the President knew that he was not telling the truth about his healthcare plan. The NBC report quoted healthcare experts who expect more than half and perhaps as many as 80% of those with individual plans will have their policies terminated and have to buy new policies with expanded coverage they don't need or desire due to the requirements of ObamaCare. Bob Woodward, one of the journalists famed for breaking the Watergate story, called the Obama Administration “a rat's nest of concealment and lies" and described it as a "secret government." That secret activity includes using the Internal Revenue Service to spy on and intimidate opponents. Some of the worst lying from the Obama Administration is related to the Benghazi tragedy; the President called it a "phony scandal," but four Americans, including an American ambassador, were murdered, and there was remarkably little willingness from the Administration to investigate. From the outset, the administration blamed the attack on an obscure anti-Muslim video that hardly anyone had seen. There were numerous warnings ahead of time (including pleas from the ambassador himself for better protection) and time for rescue teams to provide assistance to the victims. All were told to "stand down" and, thus far, no one has accepted responsibility or been willing to seriously investigate the tragedy. Even a year later, the administration stonewalls, concealing the identities and whereabouts of survivors to prevent them from testifying before Congress and attacking anyone who dares ask penetrating questions. The President is known for his demagoguery; he has often chosen inflammatory and divisive rhetoric over being a leader of the whole nation. He has operated in campaign mode throughout his Presidency instead of focusing on bringing the nation together to work together on our financial, economic, and other problems. Not only are we a nation more divided than ever, as former Vice President Dick Cheney said, "Our allies no longer trust the U.S., our enemies don't fear us." When a President's egregious actions yield a deterioration of conditions to the degree we face today, it is time for that leader who has presided over such a pathetic administration to be called to account."
(“The Obama Façade Cracks At Last” by Janice Shaw Crouse dated October 31, 2013 published by American Thinker at http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/10/the_facade_cracks_at_last.html )
Seventy-five years ago, it was lawyers, doctors, and shop owners; today, it's insurance companies and these free-enterprise for-profits are the main obstacle to instituting a single-payer health care system in the U.S. They must be removed from the equation if Obama is to realize his dream. While everyone focuses on the latest ObamaCare IT screw-up, the ongoing abolition of for-profit insurance companies continues. Consider this timeline.
· In June 2003, Obama made his future intentions clear in an Illinois AFL-CIO speech “I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14% of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that's what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that's what I'd like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House.”
Five years after his AFL-CIO declaration to bring single-payer/universal health coverage to America, Obama was asked in February 2008 if he differed with his opponent Hillary Clinton concerning insurance mandates and he admitted that their goals were the same but that "we have to take a different way."
· In February 2008, the future president clarified how insurance companies would play a key role in achieving a single-payer system “If we don't know the level of subsidies that [Hillary's plan is] going to provide, then you can have a situation, which we are seeing right now in the state of Massachusetts, where people are being fined for not having purchased health care but choose to accept the fine because they still can't afford it, even with the subsidies. And they are then worse off. They then have no health care and are paying a fine above and beyond that.”
Obama's strategy to partner with the middle-man in order to overhaul America's health care system materialized when he became President in 2008. Obama's relentless pursuit of the insurance companies continued throughout the first year of his Presidency. Lobbyists in turn persuaded D.C. politicians to pass the Affordable Care Act despite an outcry from a majority of Americans. A few months after the ACA was passed in December of 2009, and two weeks before Obama signed it into law, the President hauled insurance executives from the top five companies into another meeting. It didn't take long before they realized that the honeymoon was over. He vilified the health insurance providers for caring more about profits than about folks going through hard times. The road to single-payer will be littered with canceled policies and desperate consumers looking for a solution. Putting the private insurance industry out of business was all part of the plan because the President's 2003 utopian agenda of a single-payer system cannot happen as long as private insurance exists.
(“Toward Single-Payer: We’re Almost There” by M. Catherine Evans and Ann Kane dated October 26, 2013 published by American Thinker at http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/10/towards_single-payer_were_almost_there.html )
President Obama is a “Stealth Fascist” who is “the pallbearer for American Liberalism.” Chairman Mao made the following statement in April 1971: “China should learn from the way America developed, by decentralizing and spreading responsibility and wealth among the 50 states. A central government could not do everything. China must depend upon regional and local initiative. It would not do (spreading his hands) to leave everything up to him (Mao).” Forty years later, China was on the brink of becoming the world’s largest economy, and President Barack Obama had not a clue about learning “from the way America developed” or about depending on its “regional and local initiatives.” Obama and company, believing the opposite and in denial over the reality of the Soviet lesson, made ObamaCare the very face of “Friendly Fascism” and “Stealth Fascism.” Today the entire Great Leap Forward in American health care as envisioned by the liberal “yokels back at academe, drunk on their higher knowledge of ‘how-to’ studies” is a disaster collapsing in on itself faster than a Florida sinkhole. The party of slavery, segregation, lynching, the Ku Klux Klan, racial quotas and illegal immigration never blinked at the shameful firing of an ObamaCare operator, a black single mom, for the “crime” of answering Sean Hannity’s questions honestly. The incident speaks volumes about the core nature of liberalism itself and its dependence on blatant thuggery combined with a thick veneer of out-and-out racism. Liberalism’s distinctive trait is overreach. At times Liberals promise too much. At times they attempt too much. Occasionally liberals actually achieve too much, leaving many Americans fearing for their liberties and the contents of their wallets. The ObamaCare overreach is nothing if not a story of lost liberty and the contents of American wallets are being emptied to pay for skyrocketing premiums. The automobile mass production of Henry Ford combined with the later interstate highway system of Dwight Eisenhower to speed up the move of millions into what we now call the suburbs, and giving conservative candidates a boost as the American population shifted from the urban Northeast to the South and West, producing the presidencies of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and both Bushes. Cable TV birthed Fox News, which, combined with the advent of talk radio, broke the Left’s media monopoly. Of course, the arrival of the Internet has changed everything in terms of how politics is discussed and money raised for candidates both Left and Right. Collectively, this has left the United States with a $17 trillion debt and almost $90 trillion in unfunded liabilities. It may have taken eight decades, but the self-destructiveness of “tax and spend” liberalism is finally overtaking its obsessive utopian addicts. The tidal wave approaches, with Obamacare the leading edge of the wave, and when it crashes, it will swamp American liberalism, with major political consequences of which the Death of Liberalism will almost certainly be one.
(“Obamacare and the Death of Liberalism” by Jeffrey Lord dated Ocober 29, 2013 published by The American Spectator at http://spectator.org/archives/2013/10/29/obamacare-and-the-death-of-lib )
What the President calls "my military" is being cleansed of any officer suspected of disloyalty to or disagreement with the administration on matters of policy or force structure, leaving the compliant and fearful. We recognize President Obama is the commander-in-chief and that throughout history Presidents from Lincoln to Truman have seen fit to remove military commanders they view as inadequate or insubordinate. Yet what has happened to our officer corps since President Obama took office is viewed as unprecedented, baffling and even harmful to our national security posture. Gen. Carter Ham was relieved as head of U.S. Africa Command because he disagreed with orders not to mount a rescue mission in Benghazi. Rear Adm. Chuck Gaouette, commander of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, was relieved when he tried to assist Gen Ham’s rescue mission. Other removals include the sacking of two nuclear commanders in a single week: Maj. Gen. Michael Carey, head of the 20th Air Force and Vice Adm. Tim Giardina, the No. 2 officer at U.S. Strategic Command. Breitbart's Facebook page has a list of at least 197 officers that have been relieved of duty by President Obama for a laundry list of reasons and sometimes with no reason given. It must be noted how the White House fails to take action or investigate its own officials but finds it easy to fire military commanders who risk their lives for their country. Meanwhile the White House protects their own. That's why they stalled on the investigation into Fast and Furious, Benghazi and ObamaCare. He's intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged. For President Obama, the military of a once-feared superpower is an anachronistic vestige of an America whose exceptionalism and world leadership require repeated apologies. The United States armed forces must be transformed into "his" military with unquestioned support and used only for "his" purposes.

Osama bin Laden is dead, drones are eliminating people and privacy everywhere, but terrorist killings hit a record of nearly 15,500 - so much for the claim that "al-Qaida has been decimated." Bin Laden may be dead, but could terrorism be any more on the upswing if he were alive? CNN this week reported preliminary figures for terrorist attacks and fatalities around the world for 2012 from National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). There were 8,577 acts of terrorism, killing 15,483, and both figures are the most ever. The rise in terrorism during the Obama years has been among the biggest ever. START indicated that 2013 is on track to set yet another record, with 5,100 attacks already in just the first half of the year. Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan account for 55% of the total terrorist attacks in 2012, and 62% of the fatalities. Afghanistan's Taliban, which U.S. diplomats are helping return to power, committed 525 attacks killing 1,842 people, topping the global list of terrorist groups. These rises are directly linked to the American retreat in Afghanistan and Iraq under Obama. Nigeria's jihadist Boko Haram came in second, while al-Qaida in Iraq, India's Maoists, Somalia's Al-Shabaab, and al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula were next. Yet State Department spokeswoman Rhonda Shore insists "we have made great progress in our efforts to disrupt, dismantle and defeat the larger al-Qaida organization in recent years." We've got armed drones seemingly everywhere, the National Security Agency listening in on everyone, even elected leaders in Western Europe, and yet there's never been more terrorism. Whatever else Obama is doing, he isn't waging a Global War on Terror.
