President Trump is making history with his energetic push to elect Republicans to the House and Senate in the November 6 midterm elections.  The unprecedented intensity of the president’s campaigning across the country seems increasingly likely to enable the GOP to gain seats in the Senate and retain the majority in the House of Representatives, despite the view of many experts that Democrats are almost certain to capture control of the House.  The president is making it clear to voters that if they want him to succeed in doing what they elected him to do he needs a Republican Congress to support him.  If Democrats gain control of one or both houses of Congress they will devote all their energy to investigating and obstructing the Trump administration at every turn, and may seek to impeach the president.  Republicans are gaining the support of voters because of several factors.

·    First, the strong economy, rising wages, low unemployment rate, and the Trump tax cut are fulfilling the president’s promise to Make America Great Again.  Voters are benefitting directly with more money in their pockets and they are giving Republicans the credit.

·    Second, many voters are concerned with the mob tactics, the disregard of the concept of innocent until proven guilty, and vicious character assassination that were deployed against Trump’s extraordinarily qualified Supreme Court justice, Brett Kavanaugh.

·    Third, many voters are disturbed by the would-be invasion of America by a caravan of illegal immigrants.  They understand if we allowed everyone who wants to immigrate to America from around the world into our country, potentially hundreds of millions of people would take advantage of the opening.  No nation can absorb that many immigrants all at once or can vet them all to ensure that dangerous criminals are not among the new arrivals.

Democrats have made clear that they are running against President Trump, but that is all they stand for.  The Democrats have no realistic economic agenda, other than sky-high spending on socialized medicine and other Big Government programs that will guarantee crippling tax increases for all Americans.  Some Democrats are even proudly calling themselves socialists, embracing a failed system that has brought poverty, misery and a loss of liberty to people around the world.  Early voting and the trending direction of polls add hard data to the theoretical surge for the GOP as we head into the midterms.  Voters who are expected to cast ballots for Republicans are turning out in much greater numbers than Democrat voters.  Every American must remember that to preserve and build on the achievements of the Trump administration and the Republican Congress, everyone must vote early or turn out on Election Day to cast ballots for Republican candidates.

Hillary Clinton is right that we must fight against politicians and activists who degrade the rule of law, seek to delegitimize our elections, spread corruption, attack truth and reason, and try to undermine our national unity.  A defiant, defensive, and dystopian political party must be met with determined aggression, not niceties, but she’s living in upside-down world if she believes that’s the Republican Party.  Two years into Donald Trump’s presidency, there is no question the Democrat Party is on the side of those working to undermine the American system of government and the American way of life.  When they didn’t get the president they wanted in 2016, Democrats attacked the legitimacy of our election and of the Electoral College.  They questioned the integrity of the result and boycotted his inauguration.  They encouraged electors to go rogue and overturn the election, and moved to abolish the Electoral College, disregarding its purpose of preventing mob rule.  As they undermined faith in the American electoral process in these and other ways, they helped Vladimir Putin achieve one of his primary election-meddling goals.  Democrats weaponized the FBI and the Justice Department in hopes of taking down Trump, or at least of bogging him down in investigations and a cloud of suspicion that would undermine the legitimacy of his presidency.  When Trump nominated a Supreme Court justice they didn’t like, Democrats disrespected the confirmation process by withholding information, then tried to destroy the nominee’s life by means of an unsubstantiated allegation.  Their allies in the press attacked the structure of the Senate and urged them to pack the court.  When the nominee was confirmed according to the rules of the Senate, they attacked the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.  This is the party that wants to use the military purposed with defending our way of life as a petri dish for progressive social policies.  They demand the military enlist men and women with gender dysphoria, then pay for expensive and time-intensive surgeries, and insist women must be in combat roles, regardless of the complications, cost, or potential effects on combat readiness.  Democrats flout the rule of law on our borders and attack law enforcement agencies.  They assert we must allow anyone into the country for any reason, no matter the cost to taxpayers, the terror threat, or the effects on our culture and economy.  They use their platform in Congress to recklessly attack the concept of due process.  They support kangaroo courts on college campuses that deprive men and women of due process in cases of sexual assault, and they absurdly insist any woman who makes a sexual assault allegation must be believed without question.  Democrats work with those who seek to undermine the institutions of God and family, and they have a special hatred for the Christian view that undergirds the Constitution and has always marked American life.  Legal recognition of gay marriage is not enough for them; they demand everyone embrace and cheer on a lifestyle some are bound by conscience not to celebrate.  They demand business owners participate in their marriage ceremonies by baking cakes and providing flowers, and harass those who fight back.  They demand Americans violate their conscience in order to provide women taxpayer-sponsored access to drugs that kill unborn babies.  They insist the president has the right to force your child to share a bathroom with boys in her school.  They wage war on our right to free speech, our right to life, and our right to carry a gun.  Their campaign to redefine sex and gender is an affront to reason and truth.  They illogically accuse people who oppose ripping fully formed babies out of a mother’s womb of wanting to dominate and control women.  They exploit emotions in the wake of school shootings to push for unconstitutional gun grabs.  Democrats are no longer interested in debate; they seek to use whatever power they can get their hands on to intimidate, manipulate, and shame the opposition into silence.  They pressure Facebook and Twitter to police speech they don’t like online.  They wield the fake news narrative fabricated by the media to explain Hillary’s loss in their ongoing campaign to diminish the voice of the conservative press, and they partner with legacy outlets that damage the public’s faith in the press with a growing mountain of bad reporting.  Democrats lend moral support to campus mobs that shout down and drive off campus anyone whose views make them uncomfortable.  They urge their followers to stalk and harass public figures they disagree with, and drive them out of public spaces.  Rather than reexamine their divisive political strategies following the 2016 election, Democrats hit the accelerator on the politics of division.  Thus we have Hillary Clinton, who is still blaming everyone but herself and her ideas for her loss, claiming Democrats can’t be “civil” until they have regained control of the government.  The Democrat Party at this moment in history belongs to those who hate our institutions, hate the limits of our system of government, and hate the American way of life.

(“The Democratic Party is Working to Destroy the American Way of Life” by Rachel Stoltzfoos dated November 1, 2018 published by The Federalist at http://thefederalist.com/2018/11/01/democratic-party-working-destroy-american-way-life/ )

There was a time when Americans from both political parties managed to get along.  On some occasions, politicians came together as one and stood up for our country, but now we don’t even speak the same language anymore.  The night of September 11, 2001, on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, the Members of Congress who were in DC gathered together with one purpose, to show the world we would not cower in the face of those horrible attacks.  Spontaneously, those Democrats and Republicans sang “God Bless America,” with the lack of self-consciousness we have when we sing in the shower, and pride in this country.  That was the last time we united, the last time we could talk.  Soon after that moment, the politics started again and the divide we’d always had turned into a chasm, and it’s only grown.  When the dud-bombs started showing up, President Trump unequivocally condemned the act and called for unity against all political violence.  It was the right thing to do and he did it without any qualifications.  Democrats rejected the sentiment, choosing to try to score political points ahead of the midterms.  The media rejected it too, blaming the President for the actions of a madman.  It was the exact opposite of everything these very same people did last year when a liberal activist tried to murder as many Republicans as he could on a baseball field in Virginia.  Democrats quickly moved on, though not as fast as the media did, which forgot the story after three days, before Congressman Steve Scalise was off life support.  Now it’s like it never happened.  The President immediately did what he should have, and the left demanded he do more.  Donald Trump doesn’t owe any of these charlatans in politics or the media an apology for the actions of someone else.  After two years of calling him a racist, homophobe, Hitler, and everything else you can imagine.  They’ve called him an idiot and a mastermind, a puppet and dictator, an empty suit and a totalitarian.  You name it, they’ve called him all sides of it depending upon what their narrative required at the moment.  Still, he called for unity, for everyone to come together and condemn this terrorism.  Meanwhile, CNN spent all day blaming the President’s words for someone else’s actions and milking their victimhood while one of their top personalities publicly swore they weren’t.  MSNBC, seeming angry they weren’t targeted, joined in the chorus.  Democrat after Democrat formed a conga line of fake outrage knowing the pearl-clutching statement of Congressman Backbencher would be gobbled up by a media desperate to share more attacks on the only man calling for unity.  They all hate Donald Trump that much that that they wouldn’t even entertain the idea.  That’s why we will never get along, because we won’t submit.  Unconditional surrender is the only thing liberals will ever accept, kneel to their will or your are not the opponent, you are the enemy.  Democrats once cared enough about the country to put partisanship aside, at least temporarily.  Since 2001 wasn’t an election year, those few weeks were easier.  Now they can taste power again, and nothing, not even basic decency, is going to stand in their way, even for a day.  Democrats aren’t going to change unless voters reject them again, and then only maybe.  Personalities employed by alleged news organizations to play the roles of journalists aren’t going to take off their blue uniforms and attempt objectivity anytime soon either.  These leftists have refused to denounce the liberal mob’s tactics for years, as Republicans and average citizens are harassed from coast to coast.  Hillary Clinton said Democrats don’t need to engage in civility unless they regain power, so maybe the time has come to stop trying to get along and just focus on making sure they never do

Every day in the run-up to the midterm elections, the mainstream news peddles the same message: Republicans are extremists.  Look at the data, and you see that it's Democrats who are increasingly well outside the mainstream.  Trump's agenda so far has been mainstream conservative: tax cuts, deregulation, strong defense, and secure national borders.  Where Trump has strayed from conservative orthodoxy, it's tended to be toward the left, witness his efforts to force down drug prices and his rhetoric on trade.  Survey data show fairly conclusively that when it comes the ideology of each party, it's Democrats who have been moving to the fringe.  A Pew Research Center report showed that while the Republican views shifted slightly to the right from 1994 to 2017,  Democrats has moved far to the left.  A Gallup poll from 2015 pointed to the same trend, finding that Democrats had become far more liberal over the previous 15 years.  Republicans hadn't changed in their views much, and they had even moved leftward on some social issues.  This year, the Democrat field is full of self-declared socialists.  The Democrat party has embraced a radical agenda of socialized health care, via the artfully named "Medicare for all" as well as free college, a doubling of the federal minimum wage, "guaranteed" federal jobs, eliminating ICE, a government takeover of corporate boards, and so on.  Prominent liberals routinely say the most incredibly extremist things, without anyone batting an eye.  Despite journalists' endless efforts to portray Democrats as reasonable, mainstream moderates, the public is getting wise to their increasingly extremist views.  This summer, an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that just 33% think Democrats are mainstream today, while 56% say they're out of step.  Enough already about how extremism can only be found among Republicans.

(“Memo to Midterm Voters: It’s Democrats, not Republicans, Who Are the Extremists Today” dated October 30, 2018 published by Investor’s Business Daily at https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/extremists-democrats-republicans/ )

As the Fake News Media is engaging in a non-stop campaign of rhetoric and accusations against President Donald Trump, his “America First” agenda and his supporters, it was a clear illustration of what is really happening all across our nation: The Democratic Party is self-destructing.  They are losing what’s left of their base and are in a panic as the mid-term elections approach.  Don’t expect to see favorable pictures or honest video footage from the #WalkAway March held in Washington, DC.  The Fake News media was conspicuously absent when a large group of former members of the Democrat party and supporters of President Trump held a march deep inside in the belly of the beast.  Cold temperatures, wind and saturating rain kept only Leftist protestors away but did nothing to dampen the resolve of the people who’ve shunned the ideology of the party of hate, division and intended destruction of our great nation.  The people who attended the event were jovial and candid, as they found like-minded people from all over the U.S. who “walked away,” ripping up their Democrat voter cards in favor of President Trump’s pro-American agenda.  They exchanged stories of events that led them to their decision and described the surprising level of intolerance exhibited by co-workers, friends and even their own family members.  Such shunning and shaming by the “party of tolerance” only strengthened their resolve.  A stream of people filled the march route, often engaging in patriotic chants and songs.  Some carried signs, others carried flags, and some held their Bibles. Clearly, it was a classy display of American greatness under God and a President who cares deeply about our nation.  Everyone was happy and positively energetic, which is in stark contrast to the opposition rallies that are seemingly ever-present on cable news networks.  The message was clear: Keeping America Great by returning it to a nation under God and a Republic guided by the Constitution.  While the media is obsessively attempting to drive a wedge through the heart of America, real, patriotic Americans are “walking away” from such toxicity and lifting others, and our nation, to greatness.

(“An Unstoppable Exodus” by Doug Hagmann dated October 29, 2018 published by Canada Free Press at https://canadafreepress.com/article/an-unstoppable-exodus )

Moore’s rule of modern day politics is: The better the economy performs under President Trump and the more successes he racks up, the more unhinged the left becomes.  It’s a near linear relationship, and it goes for media as well.  That’s why monthly jobs announcements and the quarterly GDP reports are the unhappiest days of the year for the Trump haters.  News of 3.5% to 4% growth and seven million surplus jobs are the bane of the resistance movement’s existence.  So with the economy flying high, the pundits who all predicted Mr. Trump would shut down the world economy, have had to continually invent new reasons that Donald Trump is the worst thing to happen to the United States since typhoid fever.  Democrats pine for the good old days when moderates in the GOP used to compromise, cut deals with Ted Kennedy, and capitulate.  Liberals want a return to the days when the GOP’s standard bearers were people like: George H.W. Bush, Bob Michel, Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and most recently, John Kasich.  What all these Republicans have in common is Losing!  It was only when the mean Newt Gingrich “hijacked” the party with a hard-charging conservative political and economic reform agenda that the GOP blasted out the Democrats with dynamite and won the House for the first time in a half-century.  Consider Bush, Dole, McCain and Romney: they all lost the White House and now are treated as statesmen and political icons, lovable losers.  Trump’s crime is that he’s a winner.  What infuriates the Trump haters is that Trump figured out how to win over tens of millions of disaffected working-class voters with an unapologetic America First platform.  These voters abandoned the union leaders and the party of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders in favor of an agenda of better trade deals, border enforcement, lower taxes, less regulation and more coal, oil and gas jobs.  Trump found the fault line in the Democrat coalition and exploited it like the bombing of Dresden.  He persuaded blue-collar workers that they have nothing in common with the radical environmentalists, people like Tom Steyer, who have taken over the reins of the Democrat party and want to destroy their manufacturing, mining and energy jobs as a sacrifice to the gods of global warming.  Trump has taken on the left’s sacred cows of political correctness, victimization, open borders, and racial preferences, he’s labeled a racist, xenophobe, lslamaphobe and woman-hater.  It turns out though that a whole lot of voters agree with Trump.  If Trump is a bigot for stating his America First paradigm, doesn’t that mean the millions of formerly Democrat voters who crossed over to vote for Trump, must also be narrow-minded and culturally inferior rednecks too?  In other words, liberals really do hold the view that blue-collar voters are a gang of “deplorables.”  Politics is a contact sport, and it really all does come down to winning.  There aren’t too many moral victories in politics.  As two-time winner Bill Clinton used to say, you can’t change the country if you don’t win.  The problem for the Trump haters and the reason they are so spitting angry is that he is changing the country, for the better.  Seven of ten voters rate the economy as good or great.  Liberals are angry and frustrated because they were so sure he would fail.  Perhaps liberals are the ones who are intellectually inferior.

(“Why the left hates prosperity” by Stephen Moore dated October 28, 2018 published by The Washington Times at https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/oct/28/why-the-left-hates-prosperity/ )

Many experts are panicking about Trump's economic punishments against China, because they fear an economic downturn, a global depression, or even the worst case of open war.  These pro-China critics are trying to actively undermine President Trump in the name of globalism and alleged free trade.  However, the rarely told reality is that President Trump is merely launching the first retaliation in a trade war that China has been waging for several decades.  Trump is choosing the difficult correct course of action, which will cause pain to the United States in the short term so that the United States can thrive in the long term.  Most people involved in policy, finance, and diplomacy care only about immediate gain and often blindly ignore long-term consequences.  Instant gratification in the form of quarterly profits, diplomatic summits, or jumps in stock price by embracing China is the easy choice.  In the case of dealing with China, it is also the wrong choice.  These decisions often come at the cost of long-term economic competitiveness or strategic advantage.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is actively lobbying and campaigning to weaken President Trump's position, launching media campaigns, appealing to gullible libertarian organizations, or appealing to compassion to guilt people into dropping their guard against the PRC.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its corporatist allies constantly hem and haw about accessing China's domestic markets to stay viable.  They rationalize that cheap PRC products are benefiting American consumers, that the PRC supports entrepreneurs and investors, and how PRC technological contributions make life so much easier.  American academics are just as bad.  Many universities and professors are begging for more student and professorial visas to conduct joint research.  The PRC offers academics funds or too good to be true Chinese scientists to support research breakthroughs.  Since most academics believe that their grandiose intellects can save the world, the PRC convinces them that working with China can help create globalist utopia.  Academics believe that the more knowledge is widely shared, the more the world benefits from their genius.  The PRC pursues a consistent foreign policy of dominating the Earth by mid-century at the cost of American power.  To that end, the PRC wages a brilliant public relations campaign that gives its economic mercantilism a veneer of peaceful cooperation in spreading global prosperity.  Meanwhile, the Chinese are quietly using many instruments to slowly strengthen the PRC at the cost of weakening the West.  The PRC for a long time needed Western technology to catch up because its totalitarian system drained domestic innovation for decades, and it had to slowly rebuild since the 1990s.  The PRC openly boasts about its five-year plans to jump the technological and economic hurdles they want to overcome and they achieve them.  The PRC, through proxies, sponsors a talent recruitment program that supposedly supports potential startups and entrepreneurs with seed money, financial support, or investing in research ventures.  This organization at the same time is accused of encouraging "entrepreneurs" to steal ideas, technology, and American prototypes and send them to China.  With PRC government backing, such programs can outbid any local investment capital firm or company, as the PRC state assists in effectively bribing Science-Technology-Engineering-Math (STEM) talent to become employees of Chinese State Owned Enterprises.  This has been going on for years, but the U.S. government just stood by and took the thefts in stride.  China has been attacking the West from all angles by both legitimate and illegitimate means ranging from its mergers and acquisitions to unfair business arrangements that guarantee theft to political lobbying and manipulation.  Unlike the Russia collusion stuff, there is demonstrable proof of corrupt PRC activities both in the United States and its allies.  Fighting China on the economic front is the right hard choice.  It is hard because it will have costs as we reduce our vulnerabilities to China, but at least it drastically increases the likelihood that future American generations will still have a competitive nation to inherit.  The easy but wrong choice is being pushed by scoundrels who more likely than not know all about the PRC's sins but don't care out of sheer greed.  By all means inquire for yourselves, but I trust Trump and his word on this issue far more than all the globalist CEOs' proclamations combined, and what President Trump is doing is the right but difficult choice.
